The recent mailing-list activity reminded me to post this Pokethulu/
Paranoia scenario I prepared for an RPG convention last October. I
didn't get a chance to run it because of a scheduling problem, but I
will try again this year. (So if you're thinking of attending Gaelcon
2006, avoid the spoilers therein.)

"It was 20 years ago that The Stars Were Approximately Right. A
portal opened, a city appeared, a shadow spread over the land.
Abominations of countless shapes and numbers began dragging
themselves out of pits or appearing as mutated offspring of plants or
animals. Those people who weren't struck down or struck mad retreated
from the Chaos and built the last remaining bastions of purity, the
Complexes, policed by the Committees, held rigidly on the Road of
Logic by the Computer.”
“And the children... my god, the children... they grew up in a world
forever tainted, forever different from the one we knew."
"It's been three weeks since Summer Vacation started, and gee, are we
bored! Time to round up the gang and check out the old gateway in the
forest for any new Pokéthulhu!"
