Looks like you have an error in one of your PRESTAT: tokens. Try the
latest autobuild an hour from now and it should output the token with
the problem.

Some pictures are up.

The really dark ones are from the costume ball that was held on Saturday
night.

The monument is from Monument Circle, and is dedicated to the people
from Indiana who fought in the "War of Northern Aggression" (Civil War
for the unknowing). It says that 147,000 people from Indiana served.

I ran out of film Saturday night, and left before anywhere that sold
disposable cameras opened on Sunday. Sorry I only managed 27 pictures.
Next year, I will make sure to take a digital camera.

The weapons wrack contains the weapons from LoTR. The dark statue is an
Urak-Hai (sp?).

Enjoy.

There's a bit of confusion here. The PCGen DM site is the PCGen Data
Management project. It is not the same at all as GMGen. Tir is not involved
in GMGen, but is very much involved with PCGen DM.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to find the PCGen DM site, although I
thought there was a link to it from the main PCGen sourceforge site.

You are correct, sir.

Okay, added to pcgen dm as 782790, set to priority 9 and assigned to tir.

Confusion (?) or is CMP just not up to date? CMP's website talks
about e-tools. No real mention about pcgen, except for in older
posts. For those in the know, is CMP going to release data sets that
are compatible with pcgen and e-tools, or is CMP calling pcgen "e-
tools"?

Jayme,
That fixed it, the characters open like they are supposed to now. I
do get "Badly formed PRESTAT token: 1,Q" 3 times now when I open the
first character, but everything works normally.

    Keep up the good work!

I was curious if there were plans to have a templete for Traveller

characteter creator programs have anything for T20.

(Quick search of archive didn't show answer...)

Is there a reason why PCG would suddenly start running very slowly (3-
5 minute refresh when adding a skill point, for example)? Running
5.3.2. Can this be fixed by reinstalling (gee, I'd hate to lose
everything, though). Does it have to do with custom items?

Details: Bard 14/Rogue 2. Four custom magic items, no custom skills
or feats. Running on a 1200 meg celeron.

Thanks.

Kind of. 5.3.3 (which will be released this wednesday) will be a
*lot* faster. Once that is released, try that version.

> (gee, I'd hate to lose everything, though).

Well, you don't have to lose everything (or anything. :) After you've
installed 5.3.3 in a *separate* directory from 5.3.2, just copy the
files you've changed (most likely in the customsources directory and
the characters directory) to the the appropriate places under 5.3.3.
After that, you can remove 5.3.2

> Does it have to do with custom items?

Probably not (though it's possible. If your problems are not resolved
by 5.3.3, then it's time to check those out.)

It might also be worthwhile (after upgrading to pcgen 5.3.3) to try
updating to java 1.4.2 which you can get from here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
Find the JRE matching your operating system, download and install.
(Most, though not all, report that pcgen runs faster under java
1.4.2.)

Some stuff doesn't work right.... I need to get with Doug about that, and
possibly get some FReqs requested.

And it still needs the 3 checklist points: Data edit review, OGL, review,
Publisher review.

We were missing Karianna and Shane this week. Everyone wish Karianna to Get
Well Soon!

Major points discussed:

1) Board ok'd Karianna handling the out of control trackers on the PCGen SF
site as she and her team see fit. Need for a good example FReq. Since
Karianna wasn't present, we assigned it to her. :) This would go into the
Docs somewhere, and link from the main PCGen website (pcgen.sourceforge.net)

2) Board ok'd Karianna request for increased responsibility and previlages
for Tracker Monkeys. Essentially, TMs will be involved in almost every step
of a Tracker's Life now, Trackers should be done for everything, and
Karianna gets to use her Soft Paws(Tm) on anyone that doesn't follow her
method. I think that is a fairly good sum-up of that.... :p

3) Long debate on mechaincs in DESC for SRD feats and standards for DESC
tags. This eventually got tabled for a week.

4) Tabled discussions on Karianna's plans for a major recruitment drive
until Karianna can be present to elaborate in detail.

5) After a long discussion, the Board approved 3 new members and adjusted
duties of board members:
- Paul King will now take over License compliance overseeing of both PCGen
and GMGen. His Publisher Liaison duties will slowly move to a new Board
member.

...... Drum roll for those poor souls foolish enough to accept their
doom......

- Devon Jones (Soulcatcher) as the new GMGen Gibbon, to represent PCGen's
sister, and to help with
- Michael Beaver (raevynn2000) as the new Publisher Liaison Gibbon. He will
work with Paul until Paul thinks he can fly on his own.
- Mynex couldn't keep away from PCGen, and asked to come back to the Board
as Special Projects Silverback. This was approved. As Karianna and her TMs
see a major functionality change need, these will get assigned to Mynex for
a Spec, and then to Code Monkeys for implementation. He will work with the
'Department heads' if that is a viable term, in areas that the new Spec
would affect.

6) Java 1.4 discussion. Decided to stay with 1.3 until the RSRD makes it
into the official release, so those Mac users that will be left behind will
at least have the 3.5 rules.

7) Discussions about stumbling blocks on members performing their duties.
Lots of advice given.

8) Tabled report on data team organization for a week for merging with
Karianna's Recruitment drive, and to keep the meeting from dragging on. :)

9) Request for all BoD members to review the 3 license docs (OGL, d20STL,
d20 System Guide) for a license review next week.

For what it's worth, I'm running Mac OS X, with the latest patches and
updates from Apple[1]. The current (latest) version of Java for Mac OS
X is 1.4.1_01:

% java -version
java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-39)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-14, mixed mode)
%

Since the only version of Java (for all practical purposes) for the Mac
is for Mac OS X, you might want to be aware of this. I.e., I don't see
where Java 1.3 compatibility is a concern.

[1] Apple has a nice utility for making this as painless as possible.
It checks for any updates; if there are any available, it informs you
and asks if you want to install them. If you say yes, it's pretty much
"fire and forget". Very nice.

I have just uploaded languages for RSRD.
You can find it here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pcgen/files/Campaign%2BCentral/Inwork%20Pr
ojects/RSRD/
rsrdlanguages.lst

Comparing it to original srdlanguages.lst:
- some languages are found only in monster*.rtf files (Worg, two of the
elemental languages, etc)
- TYPE tag - added TYPE:<class name> for languages available to certain
classes as bonus languages
- added Telepathy as a language for races which use Telepathy for
communication (Formian Queens, etc)
- most controversial difference - added TYPE:Written.Read to all racial
languages, of which races seem to possess an advanced form of
civilization (Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, Gnomes, Dragons) and to all
alignment languages (abyssal, infernal, celestial) and to all elemental
languages (Ignan, Terran, Aquan, Auran). The choice has been made basing
on text descriptions of various monster races described in monster*.rtf
files.

*sigh*

I wish somebody added languages.rtf with a short description to RSRD
docs. It would make this work a bit easier.

I think the LST Monkey's would like some LST Monkey Snacks(Tm) :p
Other than the kudos, job-well-done's, and pats on the back that we
data monkeys adore, there is no charge. :)

Anything put out by PCGen will be free. It is the stuff sold by Code
Monkey Publishing that will have a price tag attached.

This is a repeating bug that is anoying me, I had have reported it
countless times, but still around.

The autogenerated weapons and armor options are not showing the +1
to +5 weapons and armor nor the size optional weapons and armor (all
of them are checked at the preferences menu)

However, IF I upload a mage (sorceror or wizard, not good with other
classes) with the familiar, those nasty items just popped up.

It happened with the last 4 versions of JAVA I tried, now I'm using
the ver. 1.4.2 and still the same.

Please, at least tell me you are thinking to fix this.
