Woow, this is really neat. Battlefront created a mini-Firestorm campaign
for the Warsaw uprising. I am tempted to abort the Firestorm Bagration
thing we just started and do this instead. It would still involve German &
Russian infantry Companies, plus the Polish AK Army and various German
Politzei units.

It was great fun. Spent some time out on the battle field too. I'll tell you, it
is a lloonngg climb to the top of Round Top. The view is unbelievable though. I
am still in awe of what was done there. Makes me feel very humble.

 great.
Best way wopuld be to come up the TPK to I-195 going East.
You wil take that almost to the shore. you will pass over the Garden State Pkwy. About 1 mike later you will follow the exit sign for Rt 18 towards Eatontown. (That should be north, but don't worry because that is where Rt 18 ends , so you cann't go the other way.
Get off at the exit for Rt 36 East . This will take you to the Monmouth Mall on your right  and a traffic cicle ahead. follow Rt. 35 North. This take you thru the downtown area of Eatontown and then you will see Ft. Monmouth on your right . The main entrance is there. It has fancy brick pillars at the gate.
Go in and follow the signs for USMAPS. It will bring you to the left and then another left. There is a football filed on the your laeft and the scholl sign is there . We are in the last building, closets to the fence with the barbed wire top and the HUGE sateleit dish. Cann't miss it.

Fellow club member Mike Waller and I will be hosting Day 2 of Gettysburg at Fort Monmouth on Saturday Nov. 14. It will be 15mm using Fire nad Fury rules on a 16 foot long battlefield. Each player will command at least a division. Units are grouped has brigades and there are between 3 to 5 brigades, plus artillery per division. All the figures will be supplied and the rules are simple and will be explained before the game starts.
We plan to start rolling dice at (:00am and finish no later than 6:00pm. Come by 8:30 if you need to learn the rules. I need names to be put on the list at the guard post to get you in the Fort, so let me know if you want to play and what command you would like. When you come to the fort you will need a picture ID. A NJ drivers license is good.
We have run this game about 5 times. It is always a lot of fun. We will order out for pizza or something. Soda only, no beer allowed at fort.

Congratulations to Sam for his newest release!

LASALLE  now available for pre-order

Huzzah! Huzzah!  We are now one month away from the release of LASALLE, the first game in the HONOUR series.  If you haven’t heard, Lasalle is the new petit-tactical Napoleonic game by Sam Mustafa, creator of “Grande Armée”  and “Might and Reason.”  Players command a small force of a few thousand men, trying to complete a particular mission, or to hold a position against an enemy attack. The game comes with a complete Army Builder for tournament and pick-up play.

Lots of samples, previews, and other cool free stuff is available at the HONOUR website:

People who pre-order can save five dollars.  Lasalle will be shipping in mid-November.

Some rule changes/claifications that I learned at Nationals this past weekend...
I talked to a lot of the players and FOW reps... I walked over 40,000 steps this
weekend... that over 20 miles... just playing 7 games..... My feet hurt!

1. In armies using the Stormtrooper rule, All independant teams can
stormtrooper.

2. The Panzer Ace skill that allows re-rolls is only for the Main Gun not the
MGs.

3. This one is complicated so.... In a mixed unit, armored teams and infantry
teams, if they are pined the armored teams can move toward the enemy (even if
carring infantry teams) while the unmounted infantry can not.....

It was a great Tournament... and if Allen has any other updates to the rules....
