I had a brief conversation with someone at Avalanche about two weeks ago. I would be surprised if RtB is out by the end of January. I have it on preorder, and it sounded more like February-March - but that's just my subjective take on our conversation.
Folks;
Has anyone heard anything new about the release of Road to Berlin?
The last I heard was the last week in January. Also, for you folks
that are interested, the Sinister Legions book module is supposed to
be out in March, unless some knows some more current information
concerning it.

My name is Greg Daulton and I am an avid wargamer for last 25 years. I live in northern Idaho and would love to connect with PzG players from Pacific NW. Anybody out there?
Tonika;
One thing you can do is take a smaller blank counter
and on one
side of the counter mark it as the leader for the tank
unit. Place a counter on each of your tank units,
even the ones that do not have leaders. The ones
without leaders are blank counters.

Hi All!
I'm Tonika from Hungary. I bought few days ago an Eastern Front Delux and
I experienced in this game on the contrary the earlier verions the
counters haven't got IDs (unit numbers).
How can I assign secretly tank leaders if I can't distinguish them from
each other? (Rules 2nd ed. 6.8)
Thanks, Tonika
I am not exactly in the northern Jersey area. I am in the central Jersey area, specifically Princeton-Plainsboro area. If this is not to far from you, I would like to take up your offer to play. I expect to have the Battle of the Bulge PzG waiting for me when I get home from work tonight.
Let me know if you are interested? You can also reach me on YIM or E-mail at dhlubin@....

hey there guys.
I am new to PzG, got it for the holidays. Been in
war/board/role/card/miniature gaming for over 20 years. PzG looked like
a good game so I got started in it. I am looking to play, F-t-F or
PBEM whatever I just want to play--Dave
Hi guys, I 've got some questions about the difference in regular and
luftwaffe leaders (Battle of the Bulge module).
1) if not specified in the german OOB, are leaders then selected out of
the mix of all regular and luftwaffe leaders, or are all luftwaffe
leaders left out in scenarios without para's ?
2) is there a difference in luftwaffe leaders (as for example on page
20 of the scenariobook) and "para-leaders" (as for example on page 30
of the scenariobook) ?
3) can luftwaffe leaders give orders to regular units and vice versa,
i.e. can regular leaders give orders to para's ?
thanks, Filip
Thanks Cliff, the events disappeared :-)

Sorry for the inconvenience, Filip. I've deleted the function from
the group calendar, it was a good idea that was executed badly on my
part. You may still need to delete the instances from your personal
calendar.
Sorry again!

Thanks Cliff, I was indeed talking about the column modifier
mentioned on the direct fire chart. Taking the distance from the
leader directing the combined fire to the enemy target makes sense to
me.

Filip-
I could not find a rule worded in the exact same way you mentioned, so
I am wondering if it is a translation problem in the rules. What
language are your rules written in?
There is a rule on my Direct Fire Chart that reads "-1 column modifier
if the target is 3 or more hexes away". If two or more units are
combining fire, I would take that to mean "3 or more hexes away from
the leader" since the leader is the one directing the fire of all the
units. I hope that makes sense.
Does anyone know the official word on this?
Cliff
Hi chaps,
Suppose unit A is fired upon by units X and Y who are adjacent to each
other, combining their direct firevalues (i.e. there is a leader with
a combat modifier). Unit X is 3 hexes away from A, unit Y is 2 hexes
away from Y. How do I implement the rule saying "–1 column modifier for
directing fire from 3 or more hexes away" here ?
Cheers, Filip

I don't have Guadalcanal. I have PG, Airborne, HOTS, and Desert Rats. I am adding to a gamebox that has some basic Soviet and German units, I was hoping you had the Pacific War units in some form :)
I do not have a cyberboard gamebox for this. I play all of my PBEM games with the actual board and counters. With #'ed hexes like the PG series has, it is not hard to do with text e-mail messages. The only outside utility I like to use is a free, easy to use DR server www.ironygames.com
I have played against opponents who have used cyberboard to keep their board.

It really does works this way . . .
Would you like to give it a try?

Folks,
I added a link in that section of the group. It leads to a site I
built with over 600 gameboxes on it. If you know of a gamebox I don't
have up there, let me know.
-Patrick
I've added some links to PBEM utils and Panzer Grenadier stuff in the
Links section. Check them out!
PBEM Progress: I have downloaded the counters for the free Panzer
Grenadier game, I will now see if I can convert them into Cyberboard
counters while retaining their fantastic artwork.
Heh heh . . . that line is from a website my cousins showed me. I
just picked up Heroes of the Soviet Union and after reading some of
the special rules, I felt the reference was appropriate.
"Penal Units" . . . interesting concept. So the strategy is to drown
the enemy with the corpses of our undesirable population? Like I
said, interesting. Can't wait to try it out.
I am thinking about putting an introductory gamebox together using the
free introductory game graphics that Avalanche Press provides on their
website. I'm going to float the idea over at Consimworld and see if I
get my head bit off.
I have located cyberboard PBEM gameboxes for Paths of Glory and
PanzerLeader. I will post the links here until I can upload them
into the files section.
Paths of Glory

PanzerLeader

Still looking for gameboxes for PanzerBlitz and Panzer Grenadier.
In my searches for the Panzer Grenadier gamebox, I have come to
understand that Avalanche Press may be dead set against one being
released. Not that I blame them, they post the rules on the net as
well as jpgs of their counters; a gamebox or ADC module could cut
into their sales.
If anyone reading this has a lead on a gamebox for PB or PG, please
drop me a line.
