True a possible stretch, but how much does humanity know about how far the Vampires especially have gotten into their infrastructure and power structure?

They might out of fear cause a crash, just cause they get paranoid and strike at the Vamires and in the process find out how much the Vampires own every thing? Got their teeth into alot of things.

The whole herd animal thing, likely once the human civilization falls from their attack at anyone who might be a Vampires, they find their civilization in ruins and the Vampires have to take ofter to oddly preserve what is left?

But yes a stretch, but so was many ideas for how the appocalypse happens?

I still like to think there is more than the wolf, bat forms out there, that their is other animals that could have "hybridized" with humans and became liek the Vampire and Lycan? Any suggestions or move to another list?

I don't understand why a take over by Lycan and Vampire would precipitate the fall of civilizations. Presumably they would not have allowed the advancement of civilization in the first place had they not themselves enjoyed its benefits.

So... really, the whole premise that human's would be treated as herd animals without civilization is invalid from my stand point by the simple fact that the extra-ordinary beings may like THEIR SUV's and TV's and Latte's and its not likely that they would want the burden of creating those things. Why not let the cattle do it and we will feed off the weak?

Still a bit jumbled, but at least I can understand what you're aiming at now. Yes, there certainly is scope for more high tech PA settings and tales, and you could get a lot of mileage out of such a setting. It's not one I've personally encountered much, but as one example, the recently released Eclipse Phase RPG by Catalyst is basically a PA setting where what's left of transhumanity is scattered throughout our solar system following the horrendous destruction and infection of Earth.

I Was more asking a question about the book by I believe Campbell, about some space aliens who invade Earth in the middle of like WW2 or something in that nature, and become part of the war, as they find humanity is much better at war, and got more brains than the aliens, whose only thing they have is their higher tech (liklely not their own, but stolen from another race?).

Post-Apoc can be space based, where a race like humanity, comes upon the left over tech of a alien race that died out or fell down or just now not around?

Could make for some wild fun, rebuild the nation using the railroads of America has someone mentioned?

Its how the US was build to the modern nation it is!

Overlords, hum, nice name and concept Sam.. Could very well work.

Would make for a fun Twilight 2000 concept, but instead of rebuilding, more like escaping, but how far would you get on hijacked rail roads? Or as HoBos?
