Please join us again tomorrow for another great session of the Palo Alto
Scrabble Club!
Tomorrow we celebrate the anniversary of the 1867 purchase of Alaska, for $7.2
million, about 2 cent/acre ($4.19/km˛), by United States Secretary of State
William H. Seward. The news media called this Seward's Folly.
To celebrate, we will have a prize for the highest scoring play whose main word
has the letters "A" and "K".
We meet at Boston Market Restaurant, 3375 El Camino Real in Palo Alto from
6:00-10:00. Come when you want, play as many games as you like...
See you tomorrow!
