This is the web site for the Palo Alto Scrabble® Club, where everyone is welcome.
The club meets on non-holiday Monday evenings, from 6:00PM to 9:55PM at Boston Market Restaurant, 3375 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. All you need to do is just show up (although we also recommend you join our mailing list to get club news, word lists to build your score, and information on changes to location and/or schedule.)
Admission is free, but food purchase is encouraged to "pay" for the space.
We're not sponsored by any restaurant or games company-we are just a bunch of folks who like playing Scrabble!
Our players split into two groups: "Social" and "Competitive." The social players play leisurely games without a clock. The competitive players use National Scrabble Association Rules (e.g. use a chess clock to time their games.) We provide deluxe boards, tiles and racks. You provide your brain and a willingness to have fun.
People of all ages play: from Junior High school and Stanford Students through nonagenarians.
