This email combines information on most of the chess activities I organize. Please skip to the sections that are of interest to you :
EOCA (Eastern Ontario Chess Association) events :
(including the 2009 Ontario Open, in Ottawa over the Victoria Day long weekend!)

For all of my regular weekend tournaments now, note that both CFC and FQE members are welcome, and that all players are rated both CFC and FIDE!
Sunday chess club for children, weekly in Barrhaven :
The Winter session is starting this Sunday, January 4th, and will run for 9 of the Sundays between now and Spring Break. For all of you who have already registered and paid, thank you very much! For anyone else still interested for their children, please drop off your registration and payment to our house by this Friday, January 2nd. Our house address is at the bottom of the registration form. If you need another registration form, please email me as soon as you can. At this advanced date, please do not mail us anything, but instead drop it off at our house. If you are not dropping by until Friday, then please try to come as early in the day as possible, as by the end of that day, I need to finalize the class times and pay the city for site rental for the 18 weeks of both the Winter and Spring sessions. Then, I will be contacting all paid-up families either Friday or Saturday, to confirm the exact class times for this Sunday.

Thank you to all the families who have expressed their interest, and it seems that we have enough healthy interest to proceed! The next step is for me to reserve a great location. When that has been done in the next few weeks, then I will be contacting all of the interested families with a proposed schedule.
