Dave's comments are something we're actively discussing. We don't want
fiddly prongs. The question is how to balance the sleek look (no holes
on top) with ease of molding and ease of play.

It's pretty much a certainty that any design will require players to
pick up the pods in order to insert prongs, especially in the 9x9
version where pods stack.

Nevertheless, we're thinking about it and welcome suggestions.
