Hi. Sorry to be out of touch -- the election season had me running
around like a maniac. Fortunately, I was able to keep my sanity
thanks to my play-by-email Octi opponents. We had some great games
(I think I lost a bit more than half of them).
This year, Octi will be released by Family Games of Canada (also
known as Toys International). They produce a lot of classic
strategy games, so Octi is in good hands. They have been waiting
for the old stock of Octi from the GATCO days to disappear, which
has happened. I linked octi.net to one of the last remaining places
where you can buy Octi on the internet.
In Israel, Foxmind Games has designed a new edition of Octi with a
cardboard board and wooden pieces. I saw the packaging; I hope to
get a prototype soon.
Family Games will also be releasing my new game Razzle-Dazzle. That
will be presented for the first time in New York at the Toy Fair in
February. I hope to go there to demonstrate the game -- we'll see.
In other game news, my Jumpin' Java game will be distributed in
Europe through Gigamic, which is one of the more impressive game
companies. I'm very pleased.
As always, feel free to challenge me to a game. My email is
octimon@....
Cheers,
Don
