There is no question that this group is moribund at the moment.
One of our key members, Rick Taylor, passed away about two months ago, after a
fight with cancer. He was one of the most active members of the group.
As for me, I currently am providing 24/7 care for my father, who is 87 and has
Alzheimers. I simply cannot leave him at home for any extended period. During
our last game, he wandered off while we went to lunch. Fortunately, he found
his way home and only went less than a block from the home.
Rick's death has certainly curtailed my desire to do a lot of gaming. Several
members also cut back on their gaming after the death of another gamer, Jeff,
several years ago. But even before that, my father's disability has limited my
ability to host games.

What's going on in Northern Colorado gaming?

Mike Garland. I am located in Colorado Springs. I requested to join the group
because I like to try to keep up with what is going on with all of the gaming
groups around the region. Well, WARgaming groups that is (both board and
miniatures).

when I moved to Colorado about 12 years ago. I enjoy both formats of games, but
I never seem to get any minis armies completed. I like almost any historical
period as well as a fantasy or sci-fi game from time to time. I do lean quite a
bit towards WWII to Modern though (and on into future sci-fi). I am a member of
the Colorado Springs Gamers Association and served as Vice-President in 2004 and
2005.

some of you at the cons in Denver sometime. I am going to be in Fort Collins for
a conference between April 25 and 29. Anything going on during that time? Any
good game stores in Fort Collins? What do you like to play?
