Hi,
No messages here for about four months. Anybody still monitoring the group? What's going on in Northern Colorado gaming?
I just joined the Yahoo Group. I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Mike Garland. I am located in Colorado Springs. I requested to join the group because I like to try to keep up with what is going on with all of the gaming groups around the region. Well, WARgaming groups that is (both board and miniatures).
I was a board wargamer for over 25 years before being introduced to miniatures when I moved to Colorado about 12 years ago. I enjoy both formats of games, but I never seem to get any minis armies completed. I like almost any historical period as well as a fantasy or sci-fi game from time to time. I do lean quite a bit towards WWII to Modern though (and on into future sci-fi). I am a member of the Colorado Springs Gamers Association and served as Vice-President in 2004 and 2005.
I probably won't be able to get up your way too much, but maybe I could meet some of you at the cons in Denver sometime. I am going to be in Fort Collins for a conference between April 25 and 29. Anything going on during that time? Any good game stores in Fort Collins? What do you like to play?
