Re: [napsbattles] Re: Changes vs. NB1

Most of the generals you need probably were covered in 1st edition but there
is always the time when you come accross someone really obsure (perhaps in a
Revolutionary Wars historical scenario whose stats are not available. Apart
from that there don't seem to be any real changes from 2st edition aside from
the new method of wheeling. Am I right about this?

Well - I can't be certain, 'cos we aint got it yet, but from
comments on here I get the idea than NB3 is probably going to be NB2
as it should have been. Also, the scenario list quoted a few days
ago is exactly the same as in NB2.

So while you're waiting you could always trawl the archives here and
see the changes that were noted from NB1 to NB2.

Some key changes for NB2 were the Basic and Advanced rules were
combined into one, leaving the optional rules as separate. There was
also a new way of wheeling brigades and some other tweaks. The 1"
pin rule remained in place in the actual rules but was later
corrected. Oh, and there were about 18 pages of stats for 2500
generals which I doubt if anyone has ever used. :)

regards,
Tom
