Hello. Just wanted to drop a line and say 'hi' to everyone. I've done some writing for RPGObjects (Modern Dispatch: New Tortuga, BnS2: Merchants, Pirates and Smugglers) and I'm on the board of directors for PCGen, a character generator.

Mad Irishman's d20 Modern character sheets are the best I've ever
found. These four-page sheets come in two versions: one with form
fill fields (that automatically calculates things like ability bonuses
and skill modifiers) and one without. Their appearances can even be
customized using stylistic elements from d20 Past, d20 Future, Urban
Arcana, and the Menace Manual.

These two files can now be found in the Files section.

Hello. My name is David S. Gallant and I'm a d20 Modern-coholic.
Speculate amongst yourselves what the S in my name stands for.

I'm primarily a freelance writer and editor. My work has appeared in
"Quickshots: Mission File Charlie" and the upcoming "Crimson Contracts
Revised" by The Brood, "Year of the Zombie" by The Brood / UKG
Publishing, and "Unorthodox Ranged Combatants" by TheLe Games. I
authored "Modern Dispatch #10: Near-Future Firearms" and have
performed miscellaneous data entry for RPGObject's Modern Character
Generator. In addition, I have published the first two issues of the
free local online modern gaming e-zine, "MODERNIZED".

My favourite campaign setting is Blood & Relics for d20 Modern. As I
type this, I am setting up my introductory session. I post
semi-frequently on ENWorld. I love to promote the gaming industry as
well as the publishers who put out good work.

This place looks like fun. Looking forward to posting here.

Hey There.

This is Peterson, best known as...well, if I am known, I'm known as
Peterson in almost all places - Internet or otherwise. The first name
is Jeremy, but not even my wife calls me that, so I don't go buy it.

Just gotta say this quite the interesting idea, and one I'm glad I've
gotten a chance to be part of. I'm anxious to see how this group will
grow and affect the d20 Modern publishing community, or if it will
even have any noticable effect on it.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks for having me.

Hello all. Some things I've done with d20:

* Knowledge (Current Events): This is my little free ezine. Issues
are available from <http://members.shaw.ca/rcarbol/K_CE/>

* Sanity Reference Document: The OGL rules for Sanity from
Unearthed Arcana.
<http://members.shaw.ca/rcarbol/d20_Modern/SanRD.htm>

* Modernized: I wrote an article about Alcatraz for the first issue
of Modernized, available from
<http://www.intrepidheroes.com/modernized.htm>

* OGL Gauntlet: I'm in the midst of an OGL/d20 scenario-writing
competition, at <http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=146200>

* I can sometimes be seen lurking around the #d20modern channel on
the Psionics IRC server as 'Roger'.

And... that's about it, I think. The usual box full of half-
finished projects, of course, but no one wants to hear about those.

Cheers,
Roger

Howdy folks,

I'm Ed Wetterman, a writer for 12 to Midnight and avid old dude, old
school gamer. I wrote our most recent Modern Dispatch, and I think
I'm more proud of it than any of the others I've done. The name was
supposed to be Beer, Chicks, Ouijja Boards, Pretzels and a Demon, but
it was too long a title and we dropped the Chicks....too bad, I would
have preferred to drop the Pretzels and keep the Chicks!

Anyway, if you get a chance to check it out, do so. I think this one
really rocks! College party, beer, a witch, a demon, dreamscapes,
just a lot of cool horror in it.

Our next offering is also by yours truly, and introduces the Blackburn
community of Golan county (our Pinebox setting) and a brand new
monster template that I think comes with lotsa possibilities for your
Modern game. We are also going to begin adding a "Pinebox News"
section, added onto the back of every issue of Modern Dispatch we do.
It will include articles and lots of GM Adventure Seeds.

I am writing on a very secret Setting Book, that we'll post more about
soon, and am awaiting the last round of edits on our next offering,
Skinwalker- which is by Jerry Blakemore, and is a GREAT adventure.
I'm also working on a freelance adventure for Reality Blurs and their
Agents of Oblivion setting.

More soon, as I've been summoned to assist installing a
toilet....yuck.......

Happy Gaming

Just wanted to say hi. Met a lot of great gamers at Gencon and I hope
to chat with more of you through this group.

Good to see that Chris made it back from Gencon okay. It was a

Hello founders and listmembers. You might know me from ENWorld as Starglim. I've also had a fair amount to say about Alternity and Star Wars.

I'm a big fan of the Dispatch (a brilliant idea for the widely dispersed field of d20 Modern) and 12 to Midnight. Ronin Arts has such a wide range that there's always good things to be found. I have Blood and Relics 1 and Blood and Guts 2, though I haven't done a lot with either one yet. I'm also following the Big Bang vehicles series and Sword's Edge's Albenistan series.

To be perfectly honest, I'm most interested to mine d20 Modern resources for Alternity, but it looks to me as if the best and most prolific modern material is coming out in d20 Modern so the effect is much the same.

Cheers

Not currently in a modern game, but may go back to running my second

Hey guys, wow nice to see so many new members, welcome.

Just wanted to drop a line to tell everyone I just finished a book on
a cul that worships Jack the Ripper for Blood and Relics, as well as a
book of futuristic martial arts for Blood and Space II.

Since these are just my drafts no idea when they'll see the glorious
light of PDF day, but they are in the pipeline so to speak.

Howdy Prince,

To steal a line from pop culture, "I'm not just the President of 12
to Midnight, I'm also a customer."

Unfortunately not everyone in our company lives close enough
together to play regularly, therefore gaming is always an agenda
item at our rare face-to-face company meetings.

The group I play with used to be die-hard fantasy gamers. During a
break in our campaign I convinced a few to play in a d20 Cthulhu
game (that eventually became the d20 Modern adventure Bloodlines),
and that seemed to be a turning point. Since then the group has
played several modern games, a pirate campaign, a supers campaign,
and playtested several of our horror adventures. We're actually
about to start a Victorian-era horror adventure. In other words,
we're all over the map.

We're fortunate in that different players have been willing to step
up to the plate to run different campaigns. That really helps with
GM burnout. Have you tried asking a player to run a 1-shot
adventure? Maybe that's all that's needed to give your players the
confidence to take a turn and let you enjoy playing.

Hi I'm Prince. You might know me better as (Psi)SeveredHead. I found
the invitation here at ENWorld (so that thread is working).

"So what is everyone playing these days?"

Nothing yet (in Modern). I do run D20 Modern every other week, however,
alternating with a DM who runs Eberron. It's an urban campaign, where
the most common villains are crooks, with the occasional corrupt
politician.

I'd love to be a player, but I can't find a group, and all my online
playing experiences have been failures :(

Since I mainly run rather than play, I'm looking for more GM-focused
products (adventures, advice on how to run a criminal campaign, etc).

So starting with the next issue of the dispatch, let’s start promoting this
yahoo group. Add a
side bar like this to your first page (or another page if need be). Change the
text to something
appropriate for your company.

I also plan to put similar boxes on my modern products is space permits.

A couple suggestions for this list:

1) You should post something on your week of the dispatch announcing your issue.
I think we
should include the coupon links with it - a little benefit for being on the
list.

2) If you release a new modern product, post to the list informally announcing
it.

3) If you have modern projects you are working on, try to bounce ideas and such
off the list.

Hopefully the list will grow and become something that will allow us to get
feedback and
informally alert modern gamers to our new wares. This has worked really well
for me on Darwin’s
World. I was able to grow my list to around 500 people and it’s fairly active.

Any additional thoughts?
