Hey guys have you heard of the sequel version of Hunter the Reckoning
for XBOX? Well it is a 3rd person shooter game that involves
fighting and hacking and slashing off zombies. It involves the mind
and of course entails adventure!! Check out the trailer for a taste

Hey all,

I'm going through the list of bouncing accounts on all of the lists I own or
manage, and clearing all that have been bouncing as of before 6/1/2003. I'll
be sending reactivation requests to all others. So... if you (or some of
your friends who are on this list, but haven't been getting mail) don't
receive this E-mail or receive a strange-looking request from Yahoo, you know
why.

Anybody interested in three Mages (they're brothers).

About video games and tabletop gaming:

I have actually tried to translate some of my
favourite video game characters into viable characters
for the World of Darkness with varying success. I
cannot say that "Street Fighter" is a grand example of
how this would be done, but it IS a start. Nor will I
ever state that I will be doing up a World of Darkness
version of "Diablo," "Duke Nukem," or "The Getaway."
If anyone wants those, they are on their own.

Now that being said, I have a few gamer friends who
are junkies when it comes to the "Silent Hill/
Resident Evil" series. Being so, I have wondered if
anyone else has ever sought to itemize such characters
into playable templates for their friends to use and
get into the action with. I am not very good at doing
a horror setup (one reason I steer FAR from Call of
Cthulhu), but I know others are...

Something somewhat unrelated to the previous posts:
does anyone still archive original or revisited
concepts for the World of Darkness since the site for
BJ Zanzibar's stopped accepting new works? I was
wondering as I found some Totems for Werewolf I once
did for the BJ Zanzibar archive on another person's
website (which I found quite flattering, to be
honest). I have done about five Gypsy family revisions
and such because I liked the book THAT much, and I
cannot figure out if anyone would even want
information like that.

Beyond that, I should actually start doing up more
concrete descriptions of the characters I run online
in IRC roleplaying game channels (which are usually a
cross between free-form and tabletop dice rolling,
depending on where you go). I even did up a twisted
version of myself who is roaming the World of Darkness
with a pack of vampires bugging his bottom, and a pack
of werewolves howling at him to get their stuff done
for them. (Lazy blighters, the lot of these
supernatual ilk.)

Hmm... You make a point. How about this one: Considering how quiet
the list is, why not bring up things that are on-topic?

What I really find distasteful is that the message exhibits the feel
of a hit-and-run advertisement ala Pattern Recognition (but poorly
done), rather than a "Hey, you guys who have been writing about the
Hunter video game, there's a new version coming out that you might
want to check out"-feel of someone who geniunely wants to share. The
original poster is welcome to prove me wrong by posting an original
character idea here.

And to avoid coloring my pot the same color as my kettle, does anyone
use any specific online resource for creating/storing WW characters?
I've seen a couple online, but I'm interested in what your favorites
are and why.

Remember that originally the Great Minds list was a kind of character
exhibition (in spite of the description given at Yahoo Groups). I
wasn't ever particularly enthralled with the TV-based characters, but
at least there was some discussion over it. I would rather see the
group die than have it live on as a mouthpiece for console RPG
fanatics. It's hard enough finding solid RPG resources (don't kid me
by citing RPG Host - all that's left would be ELN with no
alternative) without sifting through 8 bazillion CRPG sites that
insist that computer roleplaying is the shiznat.

Anyway, that's more rant than I cared to paint myself into a corner
with. I'm really a nice guy. :)

I still run a TT WoD game as well as Host an Online

Over all we suffer from burn out from time to time,

Hi, guys!

Although not everybody in this (these) group(s) knows me (Perhaps
because I never have written since I've been subscribed... hehe...), I'm
only leaving my note: I'm going on vacation next week (probably to my
beach house), and I'll just come back near 02/02/2003. I will not be
available neither in the group, nor in private email until this date. I'm
changing this group to "No Email" mode to avoid any trouble on my E-mail.

See ya next year! (I think!)

Hunter's Hunted came out (about 2 years ago?) in one of the compendium
books. The only thing is that Hunter's Hunted was designed for an early
version of Vampire, and I'm not certain how well the rules will translate.

Inquisition, or Halls of the Arcanum might be more useful.

What sort of submissions? I have set up a site for online play of a Mage game
(its quite complete actually - although most of the features are for players
only and not open to the public), and have been considering expanding it into
other areas. The site is:
   http://www.keiths-place.com/

If some of the old sites are closed off, I would be happy to set up something
for everyone to use.

Are people interested?

Keith.

Greetings!

My initial idea was "What if Changelings consider Hunters as menaces to
the reality?" I mean, hunters... hunt (Duh!) monsters, and monsters, the
good or the bad ones, are products of some kind of human imagination,
right? If the Imbued destroy them, they are destroying the man's thought,
right? If the imagination is compromised, the force of Banality becomes
stronger... and so on...

The Hunters Hunted? I have the brazilian version of it and... well...
it could be better. For a book about hunters (the first in Brazil), a new
bloodline (Children of Osiris), a Nosferatu (Walker Grimes), a mage with
several retainers (Arctos) and a lupine (Kanglor)... all of them are a
little... out of context... but it's just my opinion. I consider the "Year
of the Hunter" titles a little better. At least they have more focus on
the mortal side of the story, except for The Autumn People, for obvious
reasons... (To me, The Quick and the Dead is the best.).

Hello there. Does anyone know of a good set of
websites which are still open to submissions? I used
to post to Great Minds and BJ Zanzibar's World of
Darkness. Both of them are now long closed off to
sends, if not completely cut off. (I think Zanzibar's
is still open to scan files from.) I have a few files
for Gypsy I tried to put together for the Jekipe
Patrin website, but that one is not accepting files
either. Any ideas?

In order to properly do a crossover with Changeling,
you are going to have to do some SERIOUS research. I
mean research in how the legends of such mythical
beings have worked within reality. Hunter (as far as I
have been informed) is a completely stand-alone game
not really meant for crossovers. The book "The Hunters
Hunted" (if you can find a copy of it) would be a
great sourcebook in order to compare how the power
levels ought to match. As well, Changelings would not
often be out looking for trouble with standard mortals
- banality tends to see to that.

Greetings!

About Hunter and crossovers... good idea. Since a begin in Hunter, I'm
used to join vampires, werewolves, mage (just one) and wraiths in my
chonicles. Anyone have some idea on how to integrate changelings (or
"Nightmares", as said in HSC) in a Hunter story? In the same subject, has
anyone joined Sorcerers, Kuei-jin, Reborn, Gypsies and other "secondary"
character types in crhonicle? How?

We tend to have long periods of silence between frenzied bursts of activity.
Currently, I'm toying with the idea of a Hunter game to take down all our
myriad former characters from WoD crossovers. Anyone else doing this?

This looks like the board is viable, but I don't see any new messages.
Did you all switch sites? Or is no one posting anything?

We are looking for individuals who would be interested in
creating/maintaining a page(s) on our server dedicated to a
particular gaming venue. We are a new site that is dedicated to
becoming the foremost gaming sites on the web. We want to present
this opportunity to as many fellow gamers as possible. We would like
to have very knowledgeable people maintaining the information on
these pages. For the most part, you would control the content and
layout of your page(s). If you wish, you can have your name right on
the page letting everyone know that it is you bringing them all that
info. We are gamers ourselves, but obviosly due to the many games
that are out there, we would just not have anywhere near enough time
to keep things up to date. We are willing to allow a page or pages
for just about any gaming system or particular type of a gaming
system. The object is to have a site where any gamer can begin
his/her search for info, links, downloads etc. The site will soon be
incorporating discussion forums. If interested, please reply to
greg@... Thank You.
