Elizandra gave him what passed for a Romulan smile: a slight
up turning of the lips that barely touched the rest of her face.
"I do cover ups. Big ones. Damage control, for the most part,"
she explained. "When the Non-Terran community gets a little
publicity hungry, I have to go and hush it up. Me - I'm a
practically a native New Yorker. I've been here -" Elizandra
indicated the whole of MiB HQ "-since I was three days old. I'm
Romulan, however. My parents were murdered on the trip here.
Political refugees." She paused. "As for what you'll be doing, I
don't know. If they want you as a field agent, I don't know why
they assigned me to train you. I seldom do any interesting field
work. And I doubt that you'll like what I do." She shook her
head. "I really don't understand why Zed wanted me to train you.
Especially since, well, I'm not a normal agent. I do things
outside the agency. And - because of it, I get to wear other
clothes, if not on MiB business. I free lance for a few
tabloids, a leak here and there, cover stories for the Sirians'
little cattle problem."
They walked past the twins, headding to the break room. "And
I suppose we'll end up back in West Virginia in a few days --
again. That stupid movie will have the Mothman showing off again."

were a nice ogre or some such, I'd be more in my element." -- Giles
