Thank you Meredith for creating these strong, beautifully crafted and
accessorised items and for opening and maintaining a Yahoo group to
keep them assessible.
Thank you Steppeland for caring and then working to organize these
extra files to such great effect. They are so easy to see and
download. You have truly created a showcase worthy of Meredith's work
and you should be justly proud. Diane 8)
BTW I found a walllight I have been after for several months and of
course so many other really great items that I had little hope of
finding before.
Thanks, L. I'm glad you enjoy them so much! No, I'll not be doing
any more Sims 1 creations. I gave all my disks away, I'm afraid.
But, hey! Come join us on the dark side! I'm still doing a lot of
things with Sims 2. LOL
Thanks again,
Meredith

More BIG kudos to Steppeland for taking my big ol' mess of a zip full
of files and culling out the pieces that aren't already on the group!
Her description follows:
Missing pieces added to Kim's Loft Bedroom + pic
Added : two endtables
> meretblend2_bedrm1
> meretblend_bedrm1
(Endtables and counters have the same graphics, but a different
function: The counters wrap and make it more ledge-like. The
end-tables can be put next to the bed, and allow the sims to get in
and out.)
Missing pieces added to Hall 2 + pic
Added : chair and phonetable
> merech_hall2.iff
> merephonetble_hall2
(With two more files added, this set is much more complete now! Only
the large painting is still missing! Look how nice that phonetable
came out!)
Added - New set: Study 2 + pic
> merech_study2.iff
> meredesk_study2
> merefilecabinet_study2
> meremsgctr_study2
(Beautiful modern study! The filing cabinet is cloned from a rug, so
it goes right under the desk. )
Thanks again, Steppeland. I can't imagine how to thank you adequately
for everything you've done! I can send you my firstborn, if you want?
LOL
I hope you all enjoy it...this has made me really nostalgic!
Thanks,
Meredith
I wanted to thank you Meredith and Steppeland for the organizing
and uploading of the Sims 1 files. There were a few pieces I had
missed and I was thrilled to have them. Meredith, your work has
always been outstanding and we really miss your creations. Any chance
you'd do a sort of "comeback" update with new objects for Sims 1?
Just a thought. ;) Thanks again, L.
Thank you very much Meredith :=) And thank you Steppeland!!!!!

Long time no see! I've been completely immersed in Sims 2 and that
darn real life these past several months.
I ran across a post from Steppeland at Neighborhood 99, and saw that
she had organized my files like I *never* did! LOL I contacted her,
and she very graciously agreed to upload all of her hard work here.
So, big update here, which is comprised of 7 sets and 12 pics:
Antiquehall set + pic
Autumndining set + pic
BlackModLiving_plus_mirror set + pic
Countryclubbath set + pic
Merewalldeco_hall2 set + pic
Neutralkitchen set + pic
CountryStencilWalls set + pic
brightbath_floorsandwalls pic
damask_floorswalls pic
kimsloft_bedroom pic
kimsloft_kitchen pic
kimsloft_walls pic
Thanks so much again, Steppeland, for taking the time to do this for
us all!
Be safe and happy everyone,
Meredith
Absolutely! Recolor, clone, fileshare...I'm easy...lol (And
flattered that you'd want to) I'd love to
see some pics of what your friend does with it.

Hi, angel...yep, I'm afraid that my creating days are over all around. I've
a few more Sims 1 things that I never got around to uploading. Perhaps I'll
get around to it one of these days. I'm glad you enjoy what I've done,
though.
Thanks,

Nah...not hiding it. I just had no clue anybody paid me any mind until I
ran across a POBS thread with my name on it at N99 one day.

ARGH! That toybox is the bane of my existence...lol And you just made me
think that I need to add one to the set I'm working on now. *cries*
I do the same thing, though. Do the entire room and then test. And I'm the
same way. Right now I'm determined to finish this daycare set...and I'll
probably be sitting here until I do. And I have to remesh an @$$hole
pillow, because my fishies are deformed...lol...you'll see what I mean. ;)
THAT will be a pita, but I'm sure I'll be all giddy when its done, because I
really can't wait for you all to see it. <G>

It gets frustrating at times with those meshes. I did that country kitchen
table and although I only put one lacy doily graphic on it, two were placed in
the end results. Ack! I tried and tried to get that teddy bear centered on the
bear bedroom toy chest. Never could. Stuff like that. My game loads pretty
fast but there are three or four different wait-through screens that I get tired
of. So, when I want to check just one item it doesn't seem worth it to turn the
game on for just one item. So, I wait till I've got the whole room done and
then go look. If one item looks crappy and wrong, then I have to turn off the
game and redo that one item, then have to open the game back up again for just
that one item because I NEED to get that room finished NOW.
Know what I mean?
Oh, and the pictures of the objects in the Object Workshop really don't give
you a complete idea of what all you are cloning. Take that one couch with the
ugly ornate wood at the bottom. I've been taking pictures of all the chairs,
sofas, beds, paintings, etc., to have something more visible to look at so I can
tell what goes where on the stuff.

Oh, so do I! I actually get nostalgic for Tmog now and then...it was much
easier to make things *look* 3D than it is to monkey around with the mesh
making and whatnot. I do like the technical aspect of it, though...I
actually enjoy making and mapping the mesh...its just a pain in the butt
sometimes. I'm weird though...I liked playing with z-buffers, too...lol

Ah, ha, I see. I miss having the 3D rendered, though, when making Sims 2
objects. Melynda and I keep hoping that someone will eventually make us
something like T-mog in Sims 2. For me, it's been a lot of logical guesswork to

lol...Not to worry...it was only about a year, year and a half that I had
the site. And then Sims 2 came around, and I found it frustrating to have
to go into Sims 1 and test things...I kept trying to zoom in and spin around
and stuff. My very last Sims 1 object was actually the Ostara altar that I
made for the SA Easter Egg Hunt.

Hey Jo! Thanks much! Yep...had a whole site full, and I'm slowly getting
it all back. I have some more that I have yet to organize and upload....so
stay put. <G>
Yikes...I do believe the tapestries came in Livin' Large, didn't they? I
just changed the alpha on it to change the shape. I don't have Sims 1
installed anymore, so none of the object viewing programs will work for me
but if you have SimCategorizer, I think it is, it'll tell you. I'll also
see if I can't get someone to check for you.

didn't realize that you had done so many things in T-mog.
I liked the Bohemian room and downloaded it. Can you tell me, though,
what EP the tapestry is from? Love the shape. And that end table is

Yeh, Mere, where were you hiding these things?
Say, I'd like to ask you in the Bohemian room about the tapestry.
Which EP is that from? I'm liking what I see so far. I didn't
realize that you had gotten into making so much.
