Okay, so the last time I sent out an update mail was in August.
Granted, it was August 31st, but um... I hope September was okay for
you. Subscribing to the RSS feed at
http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts.xml ? Good. :D

I'll get to the new transcripts (some of which aren't so new anymore)
soon, but first, a bit of news about the site configuration. Today I
moved all the old Hall transcripts out into the public side of the
site. I'd talked this over with several of you, and had received a
uniformly positive response to the idea. The initial reason for
having the transcripts behind a login -- to encourage people to
register -- hasn't happened. Having the transcripts behind a login
also means they haven't been indexed by Google (or other search
engines), and we've had to make do with an
okay-but-definitely-not-Google search utility.

I'm going to give the new configuration a few days, and give people a
chance to poke around and see if there are any broken links that need
fixing, and also to give people one last chance to comment on the
idea, and then I'll remove stricture on the transcripts folder that
asks search engines to not index it. Soon after, the search page
will be changed to use Google's index of the site.

Now that's done... on to the new (and not so new) transcripts!

First, in Unexpected Returns Jaret receives two unexpected visitors.
Where have they been, how are they now, and where does he take them?
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20040901-1.shtml>. Then,
in Absorbing News Glossaria comes to Vallel on their anniversary with
some surprising news. How does he react, what plans do they make, and
how does Zoya feel about it?
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20040910-1.shtml>. Next,
on the Monday night session from September 13th it's a mucky day in
Marsember, and Michelle is keeping the Patrons drinks filled. What
forestry development does Michelle jestingly suggest, what has Tarri
been up to lately, and Jaret espouses some predictable weaponry
opinions
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20040913-1.shtml>. Then,
in Kevil's Forfeits Glossaria visits the Talarin household with her
news, and finds Kevil home. How does he surprise her, who were
Kevil's two forfeits, and what does Kevil offer to share with Vallel?
Following that is the September 20th session, wherein Rhys is tending
bar this Monday night. What has Tarri just done, there's a question
of melonry, and what new law has Orlann all grouchy?
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20040920-1.shtml> Next,
in Control Freak Someone's in the kitchen with Liiiiiiiiiiiisl,
someone in the kitchen we know oh oh oh... Who is it, what jewelry
does he have that sends Lisl into a furor, and what does Lisl send
him away with?
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20040926-1.shtml>. Then,
in the September 27th session Nacheyla's behind the bar tonight, and
it's fitting the Blessed Mother is there, because it's baby night on
the Hall. How is Glossaria's condition progressing, what has Tarri
been up to, and what can't Nacheyla stand?
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20040927-1.shtml> And a
week from then, on October 4th Michelle's keeping an eye on things
tonight, as Lisl arrives with a goal for the winter, someone with an
agenda arrives to speak to Jaret, and Jaret gets himself in a
lifetime of trouble.
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20041004-1.shtml> And
lastly, on October 11th Rhys's behind the bar tonight as everyone's
drinking chai, giving the battered and bruised Temire some advice,
and not listening to the conversation Jaret and Candra are having.
Except, of course, for those people who aren't.
<http://www.meadehall.org/transcripts/1404/20041011-1.shtml>

That's all for now (what, you want MORE?!), I'll see you on the Hall!

--Matt

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
