To be frank, I also don't know how to forward your reply to that guy.
I personally don't know why didn't he (shouldn't be she) just email MOA,
that guy just complaint to me when I was 'kurniking'.

If you realise, I'm actually helping MOA right now by forwarding feedback
from the players (or maybe not, I don't know).
Or else, I can just 'boh chap', I can just ignore the feedback and save up
my time from typing email here. I won't say anything if I don't care lor...
I don't think I deserve 'people complaint, i help forward feedback, i kena'.

I know who do you mean 'back out in the last minute'.
If you trust me, you can just talk to me if my assistance is needed.

compared to previous tournament.
I'm also surprise that there is no reward given out to the top 10 players
this year, consider that some of the players travel so far to KL for the
tournament.

I personally agree that top 10 certificate is the best items for the
cheapest cost and most valuable reward for the top 10 players.

from the 07 open.

Informations about World Othello Championship 2007.

Anjar, in conjuncture with MegaHouse, is pleased to announce that
the
2007 WOC will be held in Greece.  Greece has twice previously been
the
host country of the WOC, in 1985 and 1997, and we look forward to
returning to this beautiful country for our 31 st WOC.  We are also
fortunate
to have Benkt Steentoft act as the WOC Tournament Director. The
exact
dates and venue, how to register and more information will be
announced

Hi all,

I am Edmund Liow. Your moderator at this mailing list. I will be at
Kuala Lumpur from 11th to 17th April, 2007. I will arrange a
gathering on 15th April, 2007 (Sunday) at Starbucks, Midvalley from
2pm to 5pm.

Currently, the lists which I am going to meet are,

1. Ng Yen Lee,
2. Tan Kim Piow,
3. Stanley Ooi Jing Si,
4. Yan Leong Woo

Hope more will come, I am expecting people like Jackson Loke, Yong
Kin Seng, Lawrence Lee, Amos Yong, Liew Kuok Hooi etc.

We will have the normal on the board Othello games plus some
discussion. Please feel free to come.

Anthony has some point here. As a player myself, the monetary reward
is not really important. It is the interest and interaction and
perhaps recognition for some players that they join. We can actually
do away with the prize money. To the furtherest extent, we do not
really need trophies, the certificates will be the bare minimum.
Having the prize money is like playing TOTO, others pay to let someone
win the money which I felt may not be necessary. The lower cost of
participation fee could attract even more players to join and the
additional money can be used to fill up the deficit.

Why not let's come to a consensus by asking the members to participate
in a poll and decide for themselves whether the prize money is really
important. If everyone is fine, we do not need the prize money and can
  reduce costs.

But on a more practical plight, the genting trip may not be some
pragmatic as the travelling time, cost, planning and coordination may
be more than what they can handle. Personally, I think the genting
trip is good but we need to take in more considerations.

next time please try not to assume that players will exceed a certain number
in order to turn over the cost.
what we should do, is think about how to attract more players with the
decreasing cost we need to spend.

more to say, do anybody know that this year Kuala Lumpur Othello Open
Championship 2007 we are having a deficit? now talk about money, let's
face it. we have 9 players. according to leong woo, we actually need
20 players to break even. we need to have trophies, certificates,
premises renting, prizes etc. what more?

well this time i support your saying. but perhaps you have misquoted
my saying. i didn't mean that. but to have a tournament, we must
have money, that's for sure. players, esp you, haha, only care about
joining the tournament and after the tournament has finished, you
all disappeared and wait for the next one. but to me to lead an
association, i care about our association long term development.
like leong woo has spend himself about rm2000.00 for the boards and
rm3000.00 for the timers. glad. claps. well, what more i can say? do
we have to share a burden for him? he come up the money first place
wow??? if we get rm1500.00 from the sponsor, can we not say we give
nothing as prize money to the winners and keep everything ourselves?
we must act-lah. this is a relistic world. so, what i only suggest
is rm1000.00 for winners, this can be adjusted. like doing or
running a business, we must have an audit figure for the company who
sponsor us right? so a propotion certainly will go to winners etc.

while most of our members are at Kuala Lumpur. The committee would

everything alright. And the spending at the resort is high compare

Welcome to this mailing list mail delivery again. This time the
announcement is MOA is going to host at Kuala Lumpur on 3rd June,
2007 Malaysia Othello Open Championship 2007. News are already out.
Promotion are on the run. The promotion official website will be out
at www.malaysiaothello.com at end of May, 2007. Meanwhile, at

Besides that, I urge all of you who missed Kuala Lumpur Othello Open
Championship 2007 coz of any reason(s) please come this time. In
2005, we have only 7 people for Malaysia Open. Last year, it
increased to 19 people for Malaysia Open and I hope tis year will be
