Description

Welcome to Lost World Safari, a resource for big game hunting in a fictional Victorian or 'Pulp' setting.

The group encourages the exchange of rules additions, background material, game scenarios, scenery construction and miniature painting, together with general discussion of the dinosaur hunting genre.

Whilst not tied to any specific system, the Saurian Safari and Tooth and Claw rules by Chris Peers are a key focus. Saurian Safari is now jointly published by Ratrap Productions and Brigade Games, while Tooth and Claw is published by Wargames Illustrated.

The Adventures in Jimland rules by Jim Wright are also an excellent system for dinosaur safari campaigns and can be obtained direct from Minden Games.

For the smaller scale enthusiast, the Irregular Miniatures Tusk I and II rules published by Wessex Games and the Dinomight rules published by Magister Militum are also featured.

The development of homegrown and modified rules is strongly encouraged alongside discussion of other popular VSF or Pulp systems such as GASLIGHT, Astounding Tales and .45 Adventures (don't forget to check out the dedicated Yahoo Groups and forums for these rule sets first).

You'll also find links to lots of excellent free rules including Rugged Adventures, Bog A Ten and Mesozoic Hunter, to name but a few.
