Hi everyone. Due to the chaos of "real" life - and many other
reasons not worth going into - I've felt the need to close down the
forum to posting - except for the occasional announcement.

I'm sorry if the decision to do so disappoints anyone, but I've been
needing to "downsize" for quite a while now. I'm just not able to
dedicate as much time to the Sims like I used to. I say this with
sadness, because there are many things I had been wanting to do to
help and to improve upon the game . . .

But I do plan on keeping this group open indefinitely if at all
possible, so anyone who would like to download these files can have
them. And if the pressure of life eases up a bit, you may still
find new files appearing here from time to time, though I won't
venture to promise anything definite at the moment . . .

The "Super Janitor" is still in the works. I thought she was ready
for service, but after testing her out some more, I realized
she "clashed" with the other janitors in the game (and also the bus
boys) - so I found myself needing to rework her and the Downtown,
Old Town and Magic Town janitors as well, so they don't step on each
other's toes. I still hope to have her ready here soon - though I
can't say how soon . . .

Please don't get me wrong - although the forum has had its share of
problems along the way, the majority of those here have made this
rewarding and enjoyable. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped
here - especially Kate and HoneyB. If not for you two I would have
given up a long time ago!

About a month ago, I typed up a "Sims Solutions FAQ" which I hope
will be helpful to refer to for those who may have questions about
the downloads here, or just about patches in general. You can find
it in the new "Help and Tutorials" folder I added just today, as
well as some tips on reinstalling. I've also written a long post
titled "What's Available Here" which gives a brief explanation of
every download. Since anyone - member or not - can read the forum
posts, I thought it might be convenient for anyone considering
joining the group to know what all is here without needing to join
first. It's a bit long! I'd like to keep it on the front page, so
it will be easy to see . . .

Of course, anyone with a question can still write me at the same
address. I can't promise how soon I will be able to answer, but I
will try. Please read the FAQ (and other help files that may
concern the question) before writing - it could save you some
trouble. The FAQ can also be expanded upon, if I discover something
else that seems important enough for it . . .

So please check in from time to time - I just may surprise you and
add something new. And thanks to everyone here, I've got plenty of
ideas about things to work on and what needs to be done!
