Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration
which was first unveiled at Google I/O conference in May. Wave is
basically Google’s attempt at how email would look if it were invented
today.
A wave can be both a conversation and a document where
>people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text,
>photos, videos, maps, and more.
Starting from today, Google will officially roll out Wave (Preview)
to the first 100,000 users who have signed up for the service through
Wave site (http://wave.google.com), to developers who are already enrolled in
developer preview program of Wave, and selected paying customers of Google Apps.
If you are reading this now then chances are that you didn’t signup
for Google Wave in time and so may not get an invite from Google today.
But don’t give up just yet as there are some alternate ways to get on
Wave!
Those of you who have signed up for the service and are lucky enough
to get an invite will be able to invite your friends to join them on
Wave. You can use twitter here effectively to find out people who have
already got an invite. If you have large number of followers then
chances are that sooner or later one of your follower will send you an
invite to try out Wave. Alternatively, you can also follow the #GoogleWave and
#GoogleWaveInvite hashtags on twitter to keep yourself updated with possible
free
invites. If I get a Google Wave invite, I’ll immediately send an
update(tweet) to my twitter followers about it and invite as many as
possible on the first-come first-served basis. Make sure you are
following me on either twitter or facebook in order to have the best
chance of getting an invite from me.

multi-touch-capable tablets and desktops will become a standard part of

Windows Touch in Windows 7 with a multi-touch capable hardware allows
for the use of two or more fingers to manipulate images or perform
gestures on the screen. Users can increase or shrink the size of
pictures on the screen by pinching or zooming and flip through
documents and websites just like they can do on their iPhone.
PC manufacturers and vendors like HP, Acer, Lenovo, Fujitsu, LG and
Dell are all gearing up for its launch by readying new hardware as a

Apple has released the new iPhone OS
Firmware 3.1.2 for the original iPhone (Edge), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS
and iPod touch via an iTunes update. This update includes the following fixes
and enhancements:
	 * Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep.
	 * Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services
until restart.
	 * Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming.
Products compatible with this software update:
	 * iPhone
	 * iPhone 3G
	 * iPhone 3GS
To update to iPhone OS Firmware 3.1.2, all you will have to do is to
connect youriPhone with your computer via usb and start iTunes. You
should now see a message as shown below. Simply click on “Download and
Install” button to get on to the new iPhone OS 3.1.2 firmware.
Also included is a new carrier update (.IPCC) file for AT&T customers which
brings the carrier version number to 5.6.
Note: Do not update your iPhone to OS 3.1.2 yet if
it is jailbroken or unlocked on firmware 3.1. Wait for the new
jailbreaking and unlocking tools before updating your device or you may
loose the capability to jailbreak or unlock your device in the future. You have

If you want to recover a message that you have deleted from your iPhone, there
are some methods you can do that. All messages
you send or receive on your iPhone, are stored into an inaccessible
database in its main memory. This allows the system to store a quite
large amount of messages to be stored. iPhone it is setup from default
settings to delete a conversation from this database only when you
choose it and it is no longer stored on the iPhone only after a serious
clean of the memory, including the back-ups.

There is one hope on recovering the deleted messages,
and this is the backup on your computer. If you ran the sync process
after the message has been created, but before it was deleted, you can
still recover it. For this, plug your iPhone into the computer, and
restore the last backup from iTunes menu. Before of this, you should
save the files that you want not to be backed up. Another problem is
that if you make a backup now, after the deletion of the important
message, you will lose the message. It all depends on how important the
message was and if it's just the date&time of the message, you can
try checking the AT&T datalog.
For saving, archiving, and viewing the iPhone messages, you can use
a software like Syphone, which is a freeware utility for Macintosh, and
especially for iPhone users. This software can be installed on your
Mac, and it doesn't modify anything on your iPhone, except the thing
that it allows you to view, save and backup the messages on it, even
the ones you have deleted.
On iPhone, you can store a limited number of
messages at one time. If you exceed this limit, the existing
conversations might be deleted to make room for the new messages.
Syphone allows you to create this space for the new ones, and keep the
ones you want on your computer. You can do this maintenance in the
familiar iChat format to view the archived messages and in addition, if

If you synced your contacts with
contacts from iTunes with Windows adress books and your contact list is
now full of files with all the contacts' email addresses, here you will
find out how to delete your address book at a glance.

The first way you can delete all contacts on iphone is to create two
empty text files on your desktop and rename them to
AddressBookImage.sqlitedb and AddressBook.sqlitedb and copy/overwrite
these files into the folder "/var/root/Library/AddressBook" , using
"iBrickr", which will empty your contacts list, knowing that all the
contact are stored in those files. All the changes will occurr after
you restart your iPhone.
Another method is to go in iTunes menu, and in Edit section click on
Preferences, in the window that opens up click on the last tab which is
"Synching", and press the button with "Reset Sync History". This will
resync your iPhone as it will delete all the history. Be careful to
check "Replace Information on this iPhone" for Contacts checked. This
should work and all the Windows email addresses should disappear.
An alternative method is to create an empty windows identity (for
the windows address book synchronization). For this, do the following:
On your PC type in wab.exe. This brings up the Windows Address Book.
File->Switch Identities
Click on Manage Identites->New button. Give it a name e.g.
EmptyAddBook. You should get a prompt for switching to the new
EmptyAddrBook identity. Choose Yes.
In iTunes->Info tab, choose to sync with Windows Address Book.
In iTunes make sure the Advanced tab has Replace Contacts checked.
The next sync to your iPhone should clear out all the contacts.
You can choose any of these three metods, and see which is the
easiest one for you and use it to clean your iPhone address book and
delete all contacts on iphone.

When trying to restore your iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes with iPhone 3..1
firmware, you may see the following message followed by an error code 1601,
1602, 16xx or 21:
The iPhone "[your iPhone]"  could not be restored. An unknown error occurred.
To get around this problem, iH8Sn0w has released a handy little tool called iREB
(iTunes Restore Error
Bypasser) for both Windows and Macs which can help bring your iPhone
back to life. The latest version of this program supports iPhone 3.1 firmware
running on the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod touch 1G.
Step 1: Start iTunes and put your phone into DFU mode:
Press and hold the Home button and the Power button
at the same time. After exactly 10 seconds release the Power button.
Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message
telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. At this
point your iPhone/iPod touch screen will remain black.
Step 2: Now close iTunes and Start iREB on Windows or Mac.
Step 3: Simply select your device and wait for a few seconds until you get white
or a red screen on your iPhone.
Step 4: Now open iTunes and click on your phone from the sidebar in iTunes to
get to this screen as shown in the screenshot below:
Now press and hold left “alt” button (“Shift” button on Windows) on
the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update”) button in the
iTunes and then release the “Shift” button. Select a custom .ipsw file
and restore it. Hopefully you wont get any errors this time around!
