I thought I'd take a moment to extend this invitation to all of the
new IRC D&D group members that might be interested observing tonight's
game which is set in TSR's classic Gothic horror realm of Ravenloft.
That's not to say that any of you are not welcome, but as I am
personally involved in this game in the role of assistant GM I thought
this might let the newcomers see how things are done.

As for the campaign itself, since it is a classic gaming world we're
using 2nd edition rules and the original products published by TSR
prior to the WOTC buyout. Of course a conversion to a newer edition is
possible, but really not necessary since dice aside all D&D is
essentially the same with strong role play at its core, and that's
what we have with this group. The current adventuring party consists
of a human ranger, elf mage/thief, human fighter, dwarf fighter and an
npc human cleric who have just begun to scratch the surface of their
3rd full adventure in the Domain of Dread.

The game begins at 9:00 PM Eastern US Time in #Ravenloft on the
irc.darkmyst.org server.
