Bruce Wigdor (Kennedy) defeated Rich Jenulis (Nixon) 379-140.
The most striking thing about this game was that none of the Gathering Momentum cards were dealt before the debates! It led to a tense board position down the stretch.
Both sides had some dominant turns with issues, but Rich as Nixon tended to play them just a little more. At the end of the game, Nixon had 5 endorsement markers to Kennedy's 2, but the regions were split, with Kennedy getting the tiebreaker in the East and the West.
The game seemed quite close at the start, but Kennedy used a late Turn 5 Swing State to take Texas, and then took California with a 7-2 debate win (Nixon should have shaved). All of a sudden, Texas and Califronia were locked up, and that to me was the turning point.
After a game where Gathering Momentum cards stood to make huge gains, the only Gathering Momentum card to be actually be triggered was Gathering Momentum in the south, to just mild advantage for Kennedy. If I'm not mistaken, I don't think the Midwest card was ever dealt.
