Hogwarts Castle - Straight Corridor
Perfectly normal flames dance in perfectly normal sconces set along the
grey walls, casting a warm flickering glow onto flawless gleaming suits of armor
complete with jaunty scarlet-plumed helmets. A statue of a smugly grinning
wizard with an obviously unctuous manner is situated here as well, bearing the
name 'Gregory the Smarmy' on its golden plaque. The door to the only classroom
in the passage is a plain plank of oak, polished to a fine golden sheen. A
cobalt blue runner passes down the center of the white marble floor, adding the
texture of velvet to the slick shine of the stone. As the corridor ends, it
veers off at a jagged angle, only the glow from the turn giving hint that
another hall may lie beyond.

Up into the Straight Corridor comes Richard. Its been a longish day, and he
seems a bit wore out himself. Yet, he carries with him his bookbag filled almost
to the brim, and a couple of texts under one arm. The boy yawns quietly, walking
off towards the Jackknife Corridor.
Cora is just stepping out of the Dark Arts classroom, sighing a bit as she does
so. She too looks a little worn and weary from the day's hard studies.
"Trying to convince Professor Lupin a coconut bra would have been more
appropriate?" Richard asks as he passes by Cora leaving the Dark Arts classroom.
He's smirking just a little.
Cora rolls her eyes a bit, "Why? Were you looking, Jepson?" she snides back.
She's not smirking, as she is a bit too tired to do so it would seem.
"Only a little, and only when Alberti wasn't watching." Richard says, continuing
to smirk. "I'm rather suprised to see you in actually, I thought you'd be out
driving firsties into the ground."
Cora gives a bit of a shrug, "I already did this week once. A girl does have to
make time to study you know. OWLs do happen at the end of the year, and I don't
want to be caught unprepared."
Richard ahhs, "Study, snog other werewolves. I'm sure one's schedule is simply
out of control these days." he replies, passing nearby Cora as he continues
walking.
Cora simply says in response, "Every woman adores furs," she says, "Scales are
just ... well they aren't sexy at all," more over her shoulder than directly to
you. Apparently her path is not taking her towards the jackknife corridor.
Richard turns on his heel, giving you an appraising look, "And here I was going
to offer to let you make a comparison. Ah well. Such is life."
Cora also turns. She smirks, and shrugs a little. "I think I can live quite
happily without needing the comparison." She pauses a bit, "What little I've
already compared, definitely shows that I'm right about fur."
"Suit yourself babe." Richard says simply with a very slow shrug of his own. He
turns back towards where he was going, whistling quietly, if a little stiffly.
Cora calls after you, "I'm not a 'babe'." She clarifies, "I'm a wolf."
Richard snorts, "Sure." he says, glancing over his shoulder at you, "I was
giving you the benefit of the doubt."
Cora rolls her eyes, and sighs, and turns to head back out to the grand
staircase.
