You're totally right. I goofed in my statement. (I haven't played in looong
while.) I mean, it makes sense. If the highest starting Strength is a 7, the
Difficulty range of 1-10, being the task's "Strength", balances out. It does
add a bit of extra randomness to the test, but it allows even a Gomer Pyle to
manage a miracle...which is fun too.
