Assuming I have changed the setting correctly, this list is now
closed to further postings. Now that the new version has been
published there no longer seems any point to continuing discussions
here.
The message archive and so forth can still be viewed, by, if I have
done it right, members and non-members alike.
All further discussion can take place at the main list.

I just spoke to Teresa at Keep Wargaming and they say that HOTT 2 came
back from the printers yesterday.
I've just placed an order for 5 copies and for those of you wishing to
do likewise, Keep Wargaming' number is +44 (0) 1380 724558

I was wondering the same myself, I spoke to Keep Wargaming back at
end of April and they hoped for mid May but could not commit for
obvious reasons.

Any progress report ?
Greetings
Karl Heinz
If you're referring to our first game with Sky Pirates, I played my Generic
Medieval army (the only one I had at the time). And I believe that you
recoiled from a combat with a Knight element (possibly my Knight General).
If you're referring to our second game with the Sky Pirates, there were
only two combats between Capt. Stag and the Orc Hero. The first, in which
we both erroneously thought that the my Orc Hero recoiled (instead of being
QKed), and the second in which we both erroneously thought that Capt. Stag
had to recoil and was destroyed by the element on his rear.
As for *my* defense, I need said defense just a much as *you* do.

In Darkhost's defense, we may have already had the Captain Stag vs. Orc Hero
combat in the game
resulting in a recoil, I'm not sure but the precedent may have been established
previously through
mutual ignorance. Still a damn impressive fight though 8^)

I would wait at least until the printer has finished his job. I want to know
when I can order it (and where).

being more likely.

This is good news indeed. When can we expect to be able to part with
our hard-earned cash for a copy?

Not at all. The message archive will be useful for referring people
to when, in two years time, they ask why certain things are the way
they are.
I shall therefore leave this list open. I think I will close down the
ability to post to it once the new edition is published, however. At
that point they become the 'property' of the whole HOTT community,
not just those involved in the revision, and should be discussed as
such.
Just think; in few months time the HOTT lists will be full of bitter
and acrimonious rule debates, just like it was a year and more ago!

And for the record, it was bloody hard work getting across that damn
river - some snappy paladin work did the trick however and managed to
get me onto the flank of the opposition..
The other loss I recall with the Carolingians was to number two son who
took the Naked Ladies - full of shooters and warbands and the odd blade
and sat most of them in a wood covering a gap with the only clear
terrain in the centre of the table. Almost managed to pull that one off
with a Paladin/Knight force march through some of the woods - almost.
Spent most of the battle looking at the shooters in the woods and
thinking .... nah!

Ah, Steve would need to produce the full win/loss record - I just recall
that they performed well - and they were more unlucky than anything else
against your hill sitters :-)
It is always better to rest on your perceived performance than it is to
go to cold hard statistics, after all!
