Why not have someone in your game run for political office? It can be
a player character or NPC. Captian America was once approached to run
in the next election for the President of the United States. In DC
comic's Lex Luthor ran for the white house and won! In Gotham city
many a gangster has run to be the next Mayor. To get your super heroes
interested in an election remind them. That if the new Mayor hates
costumed vigilantes their job just got alot harder. A new judge on the
bench can toss out court case after court case letting vile villians go
on technicalities. Just simply because he feels those super's are not
heroes but people flaunting the laws of the land that the police have
to follow. Or perhaps he is being bribed or black mailed. Or is a
super villian in his own right! A politician can be a dangerous foe
with access to all those police officers FBI agents. Money and
influnce can be used to tar and feather a hero and have him run out of
town. Or to discover those deep dark secrets that he wants to be kept
hidden. Politic's and his basic views of some of the major issues.
Will also help him flesh out his or her personality. So politics can
add alot to any super hero game. Just ask Nathan Petrelli from the TV
series Heroes.
Ferret!!!
