Come Join Us at H.A.H.G.S
Alexander the Great, Hannibal, Joan of Arc, Napoleon, Wellington, Robert E. Lee and Patton....
Have you ever wanted to go back in time to command the armies of history's great captains at arms?
Lead Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg?
Conquer Russia with France's La Grande Armée?
Drive back Tigers in the snow at the Battle of the Bulge?
Fight alongside Alexander Nevsky against the Teutonic Knights on the ice?
Defeat Attila and the Huns at the Fall of the Roman Empire?
Stand with Henry V and his Band of Brothers at Agincourt against the flower of French Chivalry?
If so, check out the action at H.A.H.G.S. (Hartford Area Historical Gaming Society) - a loosely organized club interested in reliving the military actions of the past with miniature tabletop wargaming.
Demonstration and event games are held in the gaming basement of Time Machine Hobby at 71 Hilliard Street in Manchester, Connecticut, each month on approximately the third Saturday, starting around noon. Additional games take place on a frequent and regular basis at member's homes and also at Time Machine Hobby.
Some of the historical periods we love to game are Ancients, Medievals, Renaissance, World War Two, Colonials, and Victorian Science Fiction. Examples of rules we use for our games are: Flames of War, Command Decision, Warhammer Ancient Battles, Shako 2, Field of Glory, Piquet, G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T., and The Sword and the Flame.
So, if you are looking for a taste of cold steel and a whiff of grapeshot, drop in to see us for one of the events at Time Machine Hobby. All ages are welcome, and for beginners, all miniatures and gaming materials are provided for game time use.
