I like these ideas. Of course, if I'm not mistaken, I'm the one who
sent them to you. :-)

I like Missiledine's points too. Though I'd like to add that once the
current spammers are banned and new members require approval, there
will be far less moderating to do, so burning out isn't much of an
issue. Not to say that having assistant mods isn't a great idea.
