Hello folks ... I'm back after a long hiatus ...
Well, Steve Jackson & Co have consistently said that there is no money
to be made in modules and gameworlds for them. Having said that, there
are a number of adventures being published through e23 so that becomes
a possibility.
With the 4th Edition, they use Infinite Worlds as the primary
background for all other worlds, designating them as parallels to our
world. Banestorm updates the old Fantasy world of Yrth to the year
2005, and throws a number of twists into it.
In terms of scenarios, someone's done a few Forgotten Realms
adventures for GURPS (4e I believe). Let me dig out the URL for you
... http://www.thalcos.com/archives.htm
So what's new with me ... Well, I'm running a semi-regular GURPS
fantasy game in the old D&D world of Mystara. My players started off
as a group of 5, then dropped to 3 as two fell to family commitments,
and then to 2 as the next player burned out.
So I currently have 2 players (running 3 characters), and I've room
for one or two more. There is a gnomish mage/trickster, an human
ranger/assassin and a human mercenary in the party, who have just
managed to rescue the local godar from a band of Orcs.
Let's just say that when you get the drop on someone, (having an
illusionist with Illusion Disguise tends to give you the advantage),
GURPS combat can be very lethal.
Well, I'll quickly sign off but I'll be back to chat with the old
regulars from here.
