Hi all, just a warm-up note: The Game Designer portion of the 2008
Game Chef/Artists First event will begin this Friday. Most likely that
time will be "Friday Evening" (EST time). We will post an announcement
here when the final "rules constraints" and the like are posted.

The event will run from Friday, April 18th to Sunday, April 27th. The
end time on Sunday will be set synchronously with the start time on
Friday.

For now, the general event rules, as always, are posted on the main

Just FYI, we have about 30 sets of art submissions.
There are currently over 110 people signed up to design a game, "sight
unseen". Comparitively, last year we had about 50 people sign up
before the contest began "sight unseen", and that quickly grew to over
100 once the design constraints were posted. This year it looks like
we'll have about 20-30% more participation than last year.

And just like last year, you don't have to register or anything now,
you can wait until you are ready to jump in. But once you take the
plunge, there will be a "tap in" thread (to announce that you're
officially in, so that we can assign you to a feedback group).
