Hey, sorry about the semi-late notification.

The 2008 Game Chef Event is currently warming up. This year, the event
is called "Artists First!" and is a contest in two parts:

Part One (happening now) is where artists come and design 3-5 (or so)
pieces of art for an RPG that doesn't exist.

Part Two (happening in a few weeks, I'll give a second heads up when
the date is confirmed) will be the actual "Game Design" portion, where
people will take a set of art, and using the whole set design a
complete, playable RPG in just over a week (about 10 days).

And a new forum created. Currently, it's very Artist-Centric (there's
not much for game designers to do), but I will make an announcement
here when the Game Design portion is about to begin, about a week to a
few days beforehand.
