Galactic Trader is a multiplayer, text-mode strategy game based on the universe in the "Elite" PC game. You don't need special software to play, just a web browser or the telnet program included with most operating systems will suffice. However, if you want to become a "serious" player you should look into more sophisticated Telnet clients (many of them free) listed on gamingmuseum.com.
