Re: [forestoracle] Windless Wood - Strange Songs [Mathuin]

Mathuin, who is perhaps more familiar with the use and results of magic than his companions, still jumps at the old woman's appearance but recovers quickly.  "Let it not be said that we are unreasonable, Madame.  Please present your case."  The diviner does, however, remain on his guard against any charms and enchantments the visitor might employ.  And he is glad that their sentry remains in place.

A tough, wizened old woman with a great mass of tangled grey hair, she sits calmly smoking on a long-stemmed clay pipe and regarding you with a gaze that is hawklike yet not overtly hostile.  "I am Madame Riva," she says beore anyone can react, "I have come alone and I mean you no harm.  Will you not hear my side of this tale we share?"
