A Division of Union troops crossed the border into Kentucky at the
call of the Kentucky state assmebly on account that Johnny Reb had
invaded Kentucky.
The union milita put up a stiff fight before having to withdraw due to
the fading light. reinforcement are being railed in as I write this
report. General Ord US Army.

The Monday Knights Present "Tornamentus Mondaynightus Horribilus"
Melbourne Cup Eve DBA Competition at the Auburn Bowls Club, 2 Munro
Street Auburn. (Melway Map reference 45 G11).
Cup Eve is the Monday before the first Tuesday in November - this
year it will be the evening of the 5th November.
Registration is at 6.30pm, first game starts at 7pm.
This will be an open tournament with players able to draw armies from
any list in the DBA version 2.2 rules. Only one variant may be used
for all four games.
- Forty-five (45) minutes will be allowed per battle, with no more
than five (5) minutes for deployment.
- Terrain will be fixed. The Defender will nominate and dice for
board edge. Deployment then continues as normal.
- BUAs (Built Up Areas) are treated as impassable terrain for all
element types & no other BUA rules apply.
- Dismounting elements only dismount at deployment.
- All streams & rivers are paltry.
The winner of each battle will receive 15 points less the following:
1. for each element destroyed other than the general
2. if general element was destroyed
3. if own camp was captured
The defeated player is awarded the following points:
1. for each enemy element destroyed other than the general
2. for destroying the enemy general
3. for capturing the enemy camp
In the case of a draw neither player receives any points
Prizes : "Winner", "Runner Up", "Third Place", "Die Hard" (Highest
Ranked Army without Bd, El or Kn)
Cost to enter: $10.00 payable on the night
