I'll be online if possible :)

Giada - Messenger Client - I doubt my clients at work would be impressed the
other way...lol

I have another proposal - unrelated to novelisation - that I'd like to bring
up. It sort of links in another of my interests which is kickstarting in
January. More later...

I take it...Yahoo Messenger then?

OH, I'd put a pillow over the face. It usually stops snoring pretty well. At the
very least
it'll muffle things.

good idea. What times would be more convenient for the two of you?

I am now getting seriously pissed off - that's a British expression
meaning "rather unhappy to say the least".

4 times I've tried to post on this subject and while all have been
accepted by our wonderful Yahoo, none have appeared! And BTW these
were spread over 4 days!.

May I make a suggestion, oh master moderators, that we all give a
litle time to think about what we think could happen in a
novelisation, post it, or send it to each other and agree to meet up
online at a mutually convenient time to discuss it?

e-mail thea_uk@... still finds me

I like the idea - if anyone is interested next week or so I'll be test
running some socket/server applications in PHP - useful stuff - more
relevantly I can use it to down the entire archive of the club as it
stands and create a downloadable document rather than having to browse
eternally online.

With a little work could even create a searchable index.

I was going to do it to make it easier to read back over those nearly
5 years worth of postings. There's a lot of history back there and
it's funny seeing the way you wrote things when you were 5 years
younger...lol.

Anyway let me know, when I do it and fix it up a little, I'll out up
online somewhere and add to the club's file index.

Also just in case someone is trying to catch me by email - my address
is now maugrimtr@... or you can reach at meiner forums at

First a belated congratulations on the new job!

In terms of a novelization, we need to pick out and divide main
characters, secondary characters, and "unnecessary" characters. THe
challenge will be picking out the above, and focusing on certain plots
while pushing the others into the background.

At least with senidel, he's more of a foil/straight man, so he can be
easily replaced depending on who rises as the new straight.

Financial Services - another new world. Still it makes a change from
electronics in various forms. I have come home from the first day
with my homework, a thick A4 file entitled Financial Planning
Certificate (and it's only the first of three!) Not that I need to
get the qualification as I'm not going to be selling the products,
more office manager/sales & marketing. However, it won't hurt at all
to have someone in the house who has more than a ghost of an idea of
what mortgages/pensions/investments are all about. And it's a plus to
be working so near home instead of the rat run into the nearest town.

Paidi - my profoundest apologies about all the accountant jokes. The
people I'm working with all have a sense of humour. Probably a
reaction to staring at dry figures when they're actually doing some
work :-)

Anyway to cut this short, I won't be able to get online quite so
often as I re-learn to combine fulltime working and running a
household with 3 other full-time adults in it, so let me know what
you want to do about Nemedia.

Merde! As they say.

My own opinion would be that we should take Nemedia/story as existing
and novelise it.

I start a new job on Monday and probably won't have time to post for
a while. I therefore leave it to Paidi and yourself, as moderators,
to decide.

That depends on the next direction we (currently three) decide to take. For
instance,
we could start from the beginning yet again or move forward. At the same time,
we
need to decide which characters stay, and which go. And t hen there's the
style... full
round robin, or something similar to a role-playing game, with one person in the
position of dungeon master/Story teller, presenting situations in which the
other
writers react and counteract, which in turn spurns reaction and so on.

Not to mention any background alterations, such as the nature of Wardens,
history...
though that may not be too necessary.

And with that, I pitch it to... someone else!

I shouldn't.

Wyverns get really upset when their kin is abused. Really upset to
the extent of sending the combined clans to extact revenge.
Desecration of one of their kind is possibly the only thing that can
unite the arguing colour clans, despite all Gold Leader's efforts.

Of course they would not welcome them ..... they'd search them, find
concealed knives on the ones who knew Giada, assume they were
international terrorists and intern them on Cuba. :-)

(Oops, sorry, there's a main fair few of us over here who have never
