Belated birthday wishes to you, Kevin.
I also love Fallout 3, but am irritated by some aspects of the game.
I don't bother with followers as they always seem to charge in and
die. I just take Dogmeat back to my house in Megaton and leave him
there with my robot butler.
The karma system is very illogical. There are instances in the game
where killing someone who is clearly bad gives one bad karma.
Nevertheless, I have no difficulty maintaining very high karma. I am
20th level in my third game and have decided not to pursue the main
quest in this one until I have explored the entire map.
I played my first game as a male character and then tried a female in
the second game to see what difference this made. It is not
interesting enough to make the effort. I am playing my third game as a
male and attempting to optimize my character. I am amazed at how large
the map actually is. There is so much to explore. I am addicted.
I recommend that you try The Witcher Enhanced Edition Import Version
if you still play PC games anymore. It is a great game.
