I decided to not get Fallout 3, and my reasons are twofold:

1. I saw a gameplay video for it, and it looked so...unappealing,
stylistically. The video featured a player in power armor running
around shooting people with a minigun. And the slain weren't blown
back 20 feet, with huge chunks of meat blasting away from their
bodies; no, instead, they just kind of slumped to the ground. It
seems lame that I'd have to enter VATS just to watch a guy get blown
away without destroying immersion.

2. I have no job and no car, so a car is pretty much my number one
priority at this juncture. (It's rather hard to get one too, what
with not being able to secure a job due to not having a car, haha).

(If anybody knows where I could get a car that isn't a paperweight
for under a thousand dollars, I'd be grateful for all eternity).
