just download the tutorial (in the files section, or go to the help
section under the SW:CCG page on the website-which is under the
bookmarks.) I am also updating the tutorial to add R3 support. this
should be up later today. I will also upload and add support for R3
today as well. To play games online, i reccomend using the test
versions CT1.11x2 and 3 (self-
extracting zip file) from http://cardtable.go.to/beta as they are
more stable (especially 1.11x3 which works the best.)
because of the fact that you can only use specific versions to
connect to each other, i would avoid changing anything buggy with
cardtable itself, stormtrooper_420. you won't be able to play against
anyone accept people using the same exact thing that you have. If you
are interested in it, the proggy designer might be interested in help.
In any event, the R3 files should be up tonight and i will fix the 2
broken zip file links so that you can get the files.

WORKS heh. I have one large zip where all you do is extract to c:\
and you are playing it is about 22 MB anyways, catch you later

I play RAGE (Apocalypse) mostly and sometimes Magic the Gathering (only from

hey everyone...I gots a request for everyone. Can all of you other
members post what games you play and a contact ID if you want to play
games (also post which games you play so i can build an online player
database.)
I am thinking about starting a tournament if anyone wants to play, i
might do one, two, or three games. the games would have to be either
SW:CCG, Rage, or M:tG because the first two are the games with the
best play/# of images, etc, and M:tG is so universal that almost
everyone can play/whip up a quick deck.
Let me know anyones thoughts.
Also, one Final request:
Can you guys all send your online friends to this yahoo group so i
can get more members and thus more potential players for everyone to
hook up and game with. This has been from the start a For Us (the
fans) By Us project and without people knowing about it and
playing/using it, the whole cardtable gaming scene will disappear
into small groups and apprentice players will laugh at us all. BTW,
please vote in the polls because it makes me feel all warm and tingly
inside.
just to let you all know that my site will now host (as soon as i get
it) the lord of the rings ccg. It is no-image right now, but
hopefully we can change that by finding some and getting them linked
in. should be fun.
the final version of rage is now up. the only thing now to come for
the rage ccg is one small update that will overwrite a small handful
of cards that i still lack images for (a dozen or less i believe).
this coming file will be a simple small zip file that you will use to
overwrite a few current images that are holding the place for the
missing ones (like the default cards, just slightly different.) You
can erase your default card folder ("o") if you have one as you will
no longer need it. anyone with a rage.zip or image zip file older
than the one uploaded on 10/28/01 will want to download the newest
version of all files.
evel
http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/wildpaging/index.html
BTW, i am gonna make an addition to the SW:CCG/Deckmaker to Cardtable
tutorial to help those wondering how to make their tatooine and
Coruscant files work since the WD2CTD program does not convert the
image pathways correctly. Expect this within the next few days-and
probably even tonight.
Evel
i am gonna go ahead and upload the finished product later today
sometime (with the default images in the place of the few cards that
i need-but in the original zip files-so you would no longer need
the "o" folder's images.) I will make an update file to download
later that will overwrite those default images to the correct ones
when i get them-this will eliminate needing the "o.zip" image file
and eliminate the need to ever upload a new rage.zip because
the .ctd's image pathways will be correct and in their final form. B4
i go ahead and do this, is there any fantasy cards that you want to
submit? i have 6 more that i am going to add, but any ideas would be
welcome-especially any combat cards, moots, or characters (etc.)
was it someone from this group that emailed me the reflections 3
thumbnails for SW:CCG? I need the ctd/cdf/windeck2 or dat file that
goes along with it so that i can send it further on and get it to the
people who update the SW deckmaker.
the new rage version will be up soon. look for it real soon; probably
within the next few days. just a reminder-you will need to create new
decks to reflect the proper image pathways, so if you want the new
card images you would need to make new decks with the deckbuilder.
You will have to download all of the files and overwrite your old
ones when you extract them. If the files are not up by tuesday, start
emailing me junk to motivate me.
Fair enough... *downloads the test versions CT1.11 x 2 and 3* I'll play
with and let ya know what goes BOOM... =:p

*sigh* CT1.11 was a couple of minor changes from the 1.10 code, but
something caused the crashes, and since my testers went in search of
the dodo, and I can't reproduce it, I have as yet been unable to
track it down.
Swift rat: If you could (at some point, and I realize it might be a

Each one of those files took out one section of code I suspected

Thanx so much. in the next release version (i am gonna afta re-write
all of the cards image pathways to boot out the default cards, so you
will need the new rage.zip version) i will be sure to give you credit.

oops, i guess i should have made a post to let you know about that.
Make sure of 2 things:
1-you are both using the same version (1.10 or 1.11)
2-that you are using 1.10
version 1.11 has a lot of glitches in it that cause random crashes (i
know what you mean-it really sucks.) so most people use version 1.10
because it does not have these errors. there is a note about it on
the cardtable homepage (http://go.to/cardtable).
I do have a much more stable version that is a beta available to
playtesters (which i really like) but there is one major glitch: you
can not exit the program. I will maybe upload this to my site later
so that you can try it.
Also, go to the cardtable homesite above and email the proggys
creator. He is in desperate need of playtesters so he can tweak his
newer version (1.12) which will just precede version 2-version 2 will
have multiplayer support and a bunch more options.
For the time being, just use version 1.10 (i used to get the same
thing whenever i flipped 2-sided cards or flipped cards really fast.)
Hope this helps.
Damn... test playing with a few people... when setting the game up, and
moving cards around on the interface BANG!!! It shits itself with this

Yeah, I figured that. Theres a LOT of (o)s in there but it doesnt explain
whats with all the *.gif card image files that were in the zips... =O__o'=
*looks confuzzled*

Arou??? Then what's with all the *.gif files??? All the little pics of cards
that are in the zip files on your site? (eg: legacy.zip contains images of
the cards) but they dont show...

Nup... nothing on anything... some cards have images (like "Stand Like A
Fool" and "Anna Kliminski") but a majority (95%) are blank...

Tutorial would be excellent (I couldnt see anything in the readme files that
would help)... RAGE Online has a LOT of potential, see if you can also
include a screenshot of the directory tree for the cardtable folder as it
should look like... =:)

just a quick note, on Rage, when you use the deckbuilder, you can
tell what set the card is in by the note in parentheses following the
card title (rage, umbra, promo, etc.) if it says "(o)" it means that
the card is a default image (one of those with the smiley-devilball).
for an example, click this:
http://www.angelfire.com/rpg/marvelclassic/images/screenshot1.jpg
Those ones do not tell you which set they belong to, but the note in
parentheses can help you find where all of these images belong and
which ones have actual card scans. for example, in the image link
above, the card is "wancheses bow", you could find the image in this
filder "C:\cardtable\cards\rage\promo" likewise, you could find a
card with the "(o)" note in "C:\cardtable\cards\rage\o"
and "(amazon)" in "C:\cardtable\cards\rage\amazon".
hope this helps you out a little, swiftrat. keep playin with it and
it becomes quite clear after a little experimentation. That is how i
learned everything about this program-i just opened the files in a
text editor, worked out the image paths and did a little reverse
engineering. just keep workin at it until i get my tutorials up.
If you have the smiley face image over a card template, then it means
that the card image is not yet included because i do not have a scan
of it. when there is no card image ready normally, there is nothing
but a white card with the cards title on it for a picture (text on
mouseover works normally). Rather than have to deal with a lot of
blank cards which looks kinda tacky, i made some default images with
a card template. these tmeplates have the layout of each specific
card (events, moots, etc.) but no text and my devil-ball logo as a
picture.
i will create a FAQ/tutorial for installing this game next and i
should have it up within a few days. Try checking out the
readme/notes included with the rage.zip I tried to include pretty
specific instructions on this in there. I will have a full tutorial
with screenshots available within a week (probably by tommorrow, time
permitting, or else i might do it over the weekend.)

Where exactly should all the RAGE files go???
Can you include a screenshot of what the folder construction tree
list thingy should look like... =:)
Like... I have all the images (*.gif files) but they dont load in the
deckbuilder OR the actual CartTable program... all I get is a little
yellow smiley face with red devil horns all over the cards...
Thanks.
Just a note to let you all know what is up and coming: tutorials for
installing/using/playing cardtable and deckbuilder (maybe even some
deck maker). As you can see, i have screenshots up.
You can already add your name to the players list. Also, I should
soon have better mirrors for downloading cardtable definition files
(the little files that let you play a certain game.) Check under the
bookmarks for the current host page for files and downloads.
