We would like to remind you of this upcoming event.

Advancement

Date: Sunday, November 30, 2003
Time: All Day

Mail in your wish lists.

How a wish list works:
1. Write down all the things you'd like. New powers, ranks up in
things, objects, ammendments to objects, etc.

2. Next to each thing, write whether you want to go into bad
stuff for it.

3. I mail you back after a few days, telling you what you got.

Baseka nods and heads outside. She doesn't really slow down until they have
gotten away from the house and then she turns to Klasha. "Since I am not
certain where we are in relation to Amber-I am guessing far- we will pass
through Shadow for a time, find horses and hellride a ways before I try
using magic that far."

Klasha nods, looking relieved to be out of the scrutiny of the Chaosites for
at least a little while.

***

Shadows pass, and they find horses, saddlebags loaded with a little gear and
food for the rest of the journey. Klasha mounts her horse, silent as ever,
though a barrage of questions churn behind her face.

Baseka leads them through shadows of twisting trees and moonless nights.
Past spectral battles and wailing stones as they make their way through the
Shadows cast by Chaos. Then the scenary grows slowy more ordered, but
Baseka's pace doesn't let up until they are past the shadows of the wild
pegusi and horse herds under a clear blue sky. She pulls up her horse and
dismounts, setting the stallion free and waits for Klasha to do the same.
Then she takes the girl's hand and Baseka teleports them to an alcove in the
hallway across from Mouse's room. She peers out to check for the clear and
then proceeds to march across to his door and rap urgently upon it.

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
enemywithinpbem group:

Once again, Yahoo slowing down. Over
the past week, my ratio of posts going
through has been getting dangerously
close to 50%, with a cluster of posts
from this weekend never having gone
through at all.

With this in mind, I am considering
moving the game to my domain,
www.amberpbem.net, and the bulletin
board there. There is no posting by
email, but it is stable, and if
something goes south I can call
someone, instead of hoping that yahoo
MIGHT say what's going on.

What are your thoughts on this move?

   o Yes, let's move to amberpbem.net
o No, I want to stay on Yahoo
o I don't care one way or the either

To vote, please visit the following web page:

Imohen laughs. "Perhaps. But not sheepdogs. And even with a
spikard ... I'm not sure I could match either of them.

"I just hope ... I can make some difference," she finishes, a little
gloomily.

"I doubt you could get away with bringing her just the stone," Ariel
says, "though it would be interesting to see you try. No. Ryoden has
sent you to claim Amber's greatest remaining adept for its adversary.
And for that reason as well as several others, I must refuse your
request. To complete your answer, I do not know how Uncle Brand may
be released, although I believe a clumsy attempt may well kill him."

"I didn't expect to hear anything different." Morgana smiles tightly.
"Is that his answer as well? Or is your refusal made without
consulting him? Your own pet adept now?"

Ariel tsks chidingly at Morgana, "Such hypocracy is unbecoming."
Turning to Brand, she says, "So what do you think? Are you interested
in going with Morgana and seeing what the Serpent has in store for
you? It could be a book deal for your memiors..."

Jerri looks hard at the Commander. "No, I don't think so," she
tells him.

Damn, Jerri thinks to herself. He's got her pegged as Amberite blood.
Figured someone would, but not so soon. Still, you can't count the
ribs on most Amberites... she was still gaunt from her journeys.
Best to play along. Maybe this is the fast track to the inner
circle... provided she survives.

She shifts in her chair. "Why? You looking for a new General?"
she asks pointedly. "Elves don't do well takin' orders from
humans." She brings up one foot under the cover of the desk in
front of them and rests it on the front of the desk, ready to
kick it over.
