(I'm boring so I'm not responding to the what I've been doing
thread...all I've been doing is working, sleeping, and playing
Knights of the Old Republic 2, spending time I can with my wife,
during the tiny amount of time we have together - we currently work
opposite shifts).
I'm currently gathering my thoughts and ideas for a campaign I'd like
to run in the future. The basic idea is the group are all sneaky
classes (ranger, rogue, scout, ninja, possibly a few others to be
determined). I'm thinking I'll make it Gestalt due to wanting to try
that (and that way they can be a class that fits the thief-role in a
guild and another to augment their abilities and set them apart).
The basic story idea will be he group joins a run-down thieves guild,
works their way up the ranks, eventually taking over the guild and
then trying to make the guild into the dominant power in the city.
I've given the group a very brief generalization like the above and
they think it sounds like a lot of fun so I want to start gathering
adventure, story and plot ideas to fit this kind of game. I'm
currently thinking of setting it in Calimport, as I like the arabian
flavor it has.
Has anyone run a game like this? If so, how did it go?
One other thing I am considering but might leave out if it ends up
feeling like it'll be too much is that many of the players have
expressed interest in the Anthropomorphic Template in Savage
Species. I'm willing to allow this, within reason (no squidies or
other beasts that would get more attacks from many limbs).
Comments? Suggestions?
