As many as time and XP allow you. The only limit is to not "study" (Or weapon or skill)the same spell twice a day. I mean, divide the day in two halves, and spend 1 half in one spell, and the other in a new one, or a weapon, or a Skill.
Is different when you must spend days to upkeep profesions. In that case, count 1 hole day, and can only spend the day on this.

Thank you for your reply, however just so I understand more clearly, if I have say four spells that meet the
qualifications may I raise them all one rank during one training session.

Given sufficient time money and experience you can raise all skills/spells
that qualify up one rank between adventures.
