This is an informal group for players of the online boardgame, DominateGame (http://www.dominategame.com) who are interested in promoting, making and playing quality and alternative maps. Anyone is welcome to join, though of course it really only makes sense if you are a Dominate player.

I've removed all members who had 'bouncing' email accounts. That means the accounts they set messages from here to be sent to are no longer receiving emails because they are jammed full - they have not been reading and deleting them. Anyone who got removed in this way can rejoin, as long as they don't set their email to be on and then don't empty their inbox. There's actually an option to have no email at all, I recommend that to anyone who doesn't want to read regularly.

In this group we can do the following:

* Discuss Dominate maps, map-making, and all related issues: post in the Messages area. You can set your options to have each post sent to you as an email, or read them on the web here.
* Store and read guidance on how to make (good) Dom maps
* Store and download actual maps in the form of saved data files: these are in the form of zip files in the Files section of this group, sorted into various categories. Having downloaded and unzipped the files you upload them to your Dom personal slots using YouDieNow's uploader program.
* Store and view screenshots of maps, especially those stored as zips: these are to be found in the Photos section, again sorted into categories.
* Store and download utility programs such as YouDieNow's map-up/downloader.
* Arrange games, tournaments etc.

We hope you join and enjoy the Dominate Map Group. There is no charge or cost and there are many benefits. By gathering together in a group we can find fellow map-makers to appreciate and play our maps, compare notes, promote map-making on Dominate, make better maps ourselves. Have fun!
