It was a relief to see that the Captain had made his way back to the ship
yesterday; Ro had to breath a little easier as he did not have the weight of the
whole shipon his shoulders at the moment.
Captain Warfield met with Ro in the Ready Room for a quick rundown of tehevents
and how the situation was handled. Ro had to admit to his lack of training for
tha situation but he was also commended about his handling of it.
After only the shortest of conversations Ro exited the Ready Room with leave to
get to his quarters and then report for his office to download the information
and prepare himself for the mission ahead. He had a few ideas as to what his
duty would entail but he also hated going into anything blind.
There were aspects of this mission that were clear, and others that were going
to cause trouble. The `Auras' would cause trouble as like a lie detector the
facts that Ro needed by regulations to withhold information might appear to be
lying? Ro would address hat early on and explain that until Federation Admission
is finalized there is much he could not tell them. He was sure they had secrets
as well that Ro should not delve into.
It seemed to the casual observer that the Madei had the most to gain; yet, Ro
saw deeper into the situation, there were gains on both sides. It would benefit
both sides with an alliance; Federation Membership was coveted parts of the
universe and would be here as well given time. It fell to Ro as the Counselor to
evaluate them as a people; their Membership was another weight on his shoulders
that he would bear. The Prophets never gave more than one could handle; despite
complaining along the way.
Ro had to contemplate all the events; but what weighted most on his mind was
Mason?
On the morrow he would go and discuss the Security matters, right now he needed
to sleep.
