[19:16] * Yuki` looks down a bit. "We, uh, need directions to get to the temple."
[19:17] * Nikolai smiles nervously. "Indeed. We are, for the most part, new to this place."
[19:17] * GM|Paladin sees Leona. "Ah, forgive me, mamme. I can give you directions, certainly." He then gives simple directions to the Paladin's Temple. "I hope you find what you are looking for."

[19:22] * GM|Paladin bows slightly in response. "Our pleasure and duty."

[19:23] * Raoul has watched from a bit of a distance, but once the group gets moving, he follows.

[19:26] <GM|> *They pass through a market, where they are given the usual accostments of the merchants, before arriving at the steps to the Paladin's Temple.
[19:27] <GM|> *There are a pair of guards with greatswords flanking the huge doors, which are wide open, and have a stream of people filing in and out.
[19:28] * Raoul takes a quick glance at one of the greatswords as he passes. Likely shiny and sharp.

[19:28] * Uileam keeps his own greatsword sheathed.
[19:29] * Yuki` heads up to the guards, stops, and curtsies a bit. "Excuse me, sirs, would Sir Luthien be at the temple right now? We wished an audience with him, if such is possible."
[19:30] <GM|> *The guard looks down at Yuki.  "Sir Luthien is enscorsled in the temple, mamme.  If you would seek audience with him, you would have to speak with Sir Justainius."
[19:30] * Yuki` nods. "And where would we go to meet him, sir?"
[19:31] * Nikolai blinks. He isn't super-pleased with being channeled through middlemen.
[19:31] <GM|> "Enter, and proceed to the back, and seek ye the rooms where the business of the Temple are located."
[19:32] * Yuki` nods. "Thank you, sirs." She manages to resist eyerolling at her own talk as she follows those directions.
[19:33] <GM|> *The inside of the temple is well-lit.  There is a small choir at one end, singing hymns, while a small line is forming to be blessed by some priests at the back, under a stained glass painting of what is labled as 'The First Paladin'.  It's very shiny.
[19:33] * Nikolai follows, allowing Yuki to take the lead.
[19:34] * Raoul is just looking around the temple, taking in the sights. He makes a note to check out what's at the end of that line later.
[19:34] * Nikolai takes in the view. "Far cry from the churches back home..."

[19:35] <GM|> *Off to one side, near the back, is a small, non descript door, attended by a young woman in a white robe.

[19:38] <Raoul> "A back office?"
[19:39] <Nikolai> "Hmm. I like the idea. Honest, in a way."
[19:39] <GM|> *Yuki leads to the others to the door in question, where the woman raises your hand.  "What is your business here?"
[19:39] <Raoul> "I agree that this grandeur is... suffocating? Like drowning in gold and light."
[19:40] <Yuki`> "We wish to speak with Sir Justainius, madam.  We were told that if we wished to see Sir Luthien, we must meet with him first."
[19:41] <GM|> "Very well, but what is your business?  While we welcome all, the time of our leader and his second are quite valuble."
[19:41] <Raoul> "There are things more valuable than time; lives come to mind."
[19:42] * Nikolai gives Raoul a "be nice" look.
[19:42] <GM|> *The woman stiffens slightly.  "And what do you mean by that?"
[19:43] <Raoul> "Our reason for visiting your temple is one of international security - and a plea for aid."
[19:43] <GM|> "And who are you, to make such talk?"
[19:43] * Raoul pulls the scroll out of his backpack, shows the seal. "A lowly prince of a grand island."
[19:44] * GM| looks at the seal more closely, and blanches. "Forgive me. I shall summon Justainius."
[19:44] * Raoul nods curtly, and once she's left, breathes a quick sigh of relief. "That... Hm."
[19:45] <GM|> *The woman turns through the door, and you can hear her quick footsteps fade away.
[19:45] <GM|> *A couple minutes later, she returns.  "Sir Justainius will see you now, Lord Raoul.  You were expected."
[19:45] <GM|> "And your compainions as well."
[19:45] * Yuki` gets out of the way so Raoul can go first.
[19:46] <Raoul> "Very good. Would you be kind enough to direct us to him? Your temple is amazing, but befuddles my earthly senses."
[19:46] <GM|> "Of course, follow me."
[19:46] * Raoul does, and nods at his fellows to follow in turn.
[19:47] <GM|> *The party is lead deeper into the temple, and down a flight of stairs, to other offices, coming to a stop before a non-descript door, with the name 'Justainius' written in flowing, glowing script on it. "Please enter, and be welcome."

[19:51] * Raoul almost flinches back to note that whisper, but catches himself. Instead: "Sir Justainius, for that I am glad. It is... refreshing to be both expected and warmly greeted."

[19:52] * Raoul steps in further, enough for the others to move in if they like - and if the room is large enough. ((brb, dang))
[19:53] <GM|Justainius> "Please, enter.  I have seats enogh for all, although some of you will have to share the couch.  I was told you were coming, but I was not informed of whom would be accompanying you.  I am Justainius, second in leadership of the Paladin's Order.  And you would be?"
[19:54] * Yuki` curtsies a bit, then sits. "Yuki Matsumoto, sir."
[19:55] * Nikolai bows. "Nikolai Cadmus, sir."
[19:55] * GM|Justainius bows to each of you as you introduce yourself.
[19:56] <Uileam> "Uileam," he says simply.
[19:57] <GM|Justainius> "You have a message for the Order, Lord Raoul?  I would like to see it, if it would please you."
[19:58] * Raoul lets everyone introduce themselves in turn, and then sits. "Indeed. Here it is, in full," he says, handing over the scroll.

[19:59] * GM|Justainius takes the scroll, breaking the seal, and reading it in silence for almost ten minutes.
[19:59] <GM|Justainius> "This is...  Quite the undertaking."
[20:00] <GM|Justainius> "You see, we too have attempted to enter Jord, to spread the Light, but have been gently rebuked at the border many times.
[20:01] <GM|Justainius> "This is a serious endeavour that requires our support."
[20:01] <Uileam> "Gently would be an understatement, I take it."
[20:01] <Raoul> "We would not ask if it did not."
[20:01] <Raoul> "That said, we hope it will serve your interests as well as ours."
[20:02] <GM|Justainius> *From the door of the room, a voice adds to the conversation.  "The Light guides us all, my friend Justainius, and this is but another way for us to spread the good."
[20:02] * GM|Justainius stands at attention. "Sir Luthien!"
[20:03] * Raoul looks up, stands a little more slowly than the second-in-command paladin.
[20:03] * Yuki` stands and curtsies for Luthien.
[20:04] * Uileam never sat down.
[20:04] <GM|Justainius> *Luthien stands in the door, but closes it behind him.  Yuki's description of 'Goldeneye' is quite accurate, as the man seems to glow with an inner light.  "Please, be seated, my brothers and sisters.  I have come to grace you with my presence and to impart my decisions here."
[20:05] * Uileam inwardly snorts.
[20:06] * Nikolai forcibly keeps his eyes from rolling.
[20:06] * Raoul nods, and sits. He's heard of Luthien's fight in the little war, years ago, and how he brought the other Paladins to Azrag Biet's aid. For him, at least, this is a presence one can be graced by.
[20:06] * Yuki` is going to sit back down then, and wait for Luthien to read the scroll.
[20:06] <GM|Justainius> Luthien speaks some more.  "I approve of your decision to leave the nations of Earth out of this, as this should be a discussion between neighbour and brothers, not strangers and foreigners, with apologies to Anika and Nikolai, of course."

[20:07] <GM|> *Luthien picks up the scroll, and looks it over.  "And you ask for our aid?"

[20:09] <GM|> *Luthien nods, smiling.  "A thousand is a good number.  You would have no fear with a legion of light at your side."

[20:10] <Raoul> "...That said, we do not want to spark war. Though paladins are politically neutral, I doubt Jord would be of open ears with, um, all of those Paladins at hand. Are there Paladins who are less of the sword, more of the healing word?"
[20:11] <Nikolai> "I agree. Some may have fear struck into their hearts at the sight of the might of the Paladins at full force."

[21:21] * Yuki` will quickly head down the merchant's street, reading the various signs and symbols. "Okay... defensives, fabrics, travel goods... ah, here we are, accessories." Yuki stops in front of a simple and inconsipcuous store, pretty different from some of the flashier areas in town. "Right, definitely Isamu, there."
[21:22] <Yuki`> "He never was one for flashiness.  Means he mainly sells to locals, but it also means he won't try to gouge the outsiders."

[21:23] * Yuki` gently knocks on the door before entering and says in hino "Excuse me, Mister Isamu? Are you here, and hopefully sober?" Yuki smiles playfully.
[21:24] * GM|Isamu pokes his head out from behind a curtain. "Please, enter! We have many good from far away lannnnddd...sss.... Yuki-sama...!"
[21:25] * GM|Isamu tries to hide behind the curtains, "What brings you here? Certainly not business.. We are done with those deals..."
[21:26] <Yuki`> "Please Isamu, the honorary is not needed.  I still like to think I'm not that elderly yet.  And not business, although I might need some goods later.  I need help for myself and my companions."
[21:26] * Nikolai looks a little confused.
[21:26] <Yuki`> "Specifically, we need to know a good and safe place to stay in the region.  And I would much rather trust your advice than randomly search in a city such as this."
[21:26] <GM|Isamu> "Ah...  Ah..!  Assistance.  That I can provide."
[21:27] * Bigmohunter has joined #I-DEMON
[21:27] <GM|Isamu> "Well, I can reccomend a certain inn.  Run by a cousin of mine, a good man.  Other than that, your companions?"
[21:27] <GM|Isamu> "Unless you mean for them as well?"
[21:28] * Yuki` nods. "Yes, I am working with them. Different job, different scenery, same headaches."
[21:28] * Yuki` is still talking in Hino, as a note. >_>
[21:28] * Nikolai is firmly lost.

[21:31] <Yuki`> "It's a diplomatic mission to the north.  Unfortunately, I doubt that my boss,"  she looks to Raoul "would be willing to explain more, so I should hold my tongue, as well.  My apologies."
[21:31] <Yuki`> "I do have to say though, this part of the city agrees with you, Isamu."
[21:31] <GM|Isamu> "To Etolie?"
[21:31] <GM|Isamu> "And she does, much better than our homeland, that is for certain."
[21:32] * Yuki` nods slightly. "I will be heading there, yes. If I take after your example, it will do me wonders."
[21:33] <GM|Isamu> "Ah.  Well, would you like directions?"
[21:34] * Yuki` bows. "That would be excellent, Isamu. I will have to remember to gather new equipment at your store after we are able to settle in."
[21:35] * GM|Isamu nods, and grabs a quill and some paper, and jots some directions.

[21:36] * Raoul has quit IRC (Quit: And so, his quest completed, our hero walks off into the sunset, which is unfortunate because it's too bright to see that way.)
[21:36] * GM|Isamu hands the paper to Yuki before speaking in common english. "Please browse our wares again!"
[21:37] * Yuki` will take the directions, and bow again before responding in common. "I shall, sir." She leaves, following the directions to the inn.
