The Triumphant Return of the San Francisco Open

Let me start by thanking all the players that made the trip to San Francisco for our return to ADO tournament darts.  The 2006 San Francisco Open was a rousing success.

Over the three days, we had over 100 players participate, including John Kramer, Stacy Bromberg, Chris White, Jennifer Daggy, David Fatum, Scotty Burnett, John Denich, and the incomparable Phil Fried (all the way from Brooklyn).  I don't think we could have asked for a better response to this first effort.

We are already making plans for the 2007 San Francisco Open and we expect the payouts for next year to be in the $7,000 - $7,500 range, up from this year's $5000.

From everything that I heard from both the players and the spectators, this was a tremendous event.  We in the San Francisco Dart Association look forward to being able to build on this success in the years to come.

Thank you again to all those that made the 2006 San Francisco Open such an enjoyable tournament.  We look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Very truly yours,

David A. Hoag

It's good to see new tournaments come to life. We've lost so many good ones over the years since the golden days of the Lucky Lights Series. I know that it's...
