I like the open gaming license idea. The d20 system in itself seems both more
simplified and at the same time adds a new demension to game play. There are a
lot of products coming out, and yes some (maybe most) are crap. What I have
noticed is that the quality of the artwork and quality of the books looks are
directly porpotionate to the quality of information inside. Wheel of Time RPG
seemed very well done and had art work to match. My theory is that WOTC has
decided to allow the competition in on their system knowing that no other
publisher will put out the quality of authentic Dungeons and Dragons (TSR/WOTC)
products, and I think they have raised the bar somewhat.
My only complaint is that everything seems geared towards a younger audience.
They seem to be trying to get the pokemon hype started for Role Playing Gamers.
Those are two worlds that shouldnt mix.
Elbryan let me get a little info on what kind of columns you are wanting
written.

it's a bit quiet so I
thought I may attempt to get a little conversation. Just curious on
what everybody thinks about the whole d20 Issue. I mean is it for the
better, creates to many products, great asset, or what? I know that
everyday more and more products are hitting the shelves, a lot of it
good, but a lot of it crap as well. Kinda makes people have to search
through everything to find what they want.
Also am looking for people interested in writing articles for a
d20based zine, if your interested let me know and I will give you the
info! Thanks a lot
