I just got the prophecies of the dragon for the wheel of time rpg. I
will let you all know what I think after I give it a read. I am
currently catching up on The wheel of time Rpg. I skimmed it through
when It came out in october, but I never sat down and gave it a solid
read. I am doing that now, and I like it so far. It is written
better than starwars was. The designers have put a lot of effort into
making it have the wheel of time feel. They are also much clearer
on newer elements such as the defense rating and the dr works for
multiclassing than star wars was.
The game as the equvalent classes for fighter, rangers, and rouges.
The noble is carried over almost excatly from star wars, but it seems
to work here. The channeling/ magic system is good. I wish my d&d
wizards could overchannel(basicly, being able to cast more spells
than they normal can). The only drawback is that the number of
weaves/spells is seriously low.
The combat is straight d20. The experince system is simular to the
one described in star wars, though written better.
I would like to here what you have to say on any d20 system. Reviews
of systems and adventures are one of the things that will help this
group out alot. Thanks.
