Open to all 21 years old and under.  USCF membership is REQUIRED.

Format: Swiss System (No one is eliminated).  Rounds and time controls vary by
section.  Accelerated pairing may be used if deemed necessary.

Sections:  The tournament is divided into 6 sections by age:  21 & Under; 18 &
Under; 16 & Under; 12 & Under; 10 & Under, 8 & Under (ages as of November 1).

Registration:  $15 online via PayPal registration until November 13th, $25.00
on-site registration from 8:00am-8:40 am.  If you pre-register but cannot play,
please notify Dr. Tim Champion (tchampion@...) or Lori Holcombe
(ldh4duke@...) before the first round for a refund.

Byes:  one 1/2pt. bye allowed, except in the last round.  Registration after
8:40 AM uses this bye for round one.  We must be notified in advance of byes. 
Byes will be posted for pre-registrations on the web (www.cmsca.org) and on the
wall charts after each round; correction requests are the responsibility of the
player.
Memberships:   USCF membership required with an expiration date of December 2009
or later!  Purchase your USCF membership at the tournament or buy a discounted
membership online at www.uschess.org.  Please check to be sure membership is
current!
Prizes:  Trophies for top three places in each section and Best Unrated in each
section.  Trophy to best K and 1st grader.

Concessions and equipment will be available for sale on site.  Game analysis
provided by CMSCA instructors.  Register online at www.cmsca.org.
